The UC Agricultural Health and Safety Center has

officially changed it's name to:

Western Center for Agricultural

Health and Safety

This name changes reflects our focus on

agricultural health and safety in the western region of the country, and

is more consistent with the names of the other NIOSH supported

centers. It reflects our historical efforts addressing issues

of particular concern in western region farming such as health hazards in

labor-intensive agricultural commodities, health of hired farmworkers,

respiratory hazards of dry climate farming, and other characteristics of

agriculture in the western region of the country.

For those of you not familiar with the work of the center,

you are encouraged to check out our webpage at

http://agcenter.ucdavis.edu/agcenter/.

The Center also maintains an Agricultural Health and Safety

Newsgroup. The e-mail addresses for this newsgroup forum are:

aghealth@... (message forwarding address) and

aghealth-request@... (subscriber request address).
