Mine is in the area of the perineum. According to my doctor, there is a large cluster of nerves at the base of the spine and pain can sometimes migrate to areas in that region. I was advised by my myofacial massage therapist to apply pressure to the area. I have puchased various sized therapy balls and will sit on them if I have bottom pain and also lay on top of them on the floor to apply pressure to my shoulder, trigger points, thoracic spine and any other area that is bothersome. They recommend to do this for ninety seconds and the spasm/muscle will usually release. Sometimes it can be very painful, but it does work. I have tried the Low Dose Naltrexone myself. (http://www.low dose naltrexone.org/) I did lots of research before starting and believe that it really may be the safest, most-successful product that has come along for those of us who now have auto-immune issues since getting silicone implants. I tried it for a month, but had to stop because my thyroid went wacky. (Nothing to do with the LDN. I tried the natural Armor for Hashimotos Thyroiditis at the same time and my TSH levels were off the charts. I am regulating my thyroid meds and back on the Levoxyl) Once I get home from a wedding in NY next month, I am going to try the LDN again. I do not think my experience was typical for the majority of people who try it. Stanford (http://snapl.stanford.edu/research/ldn.html) University has published some information regarding LDN and FMA. They are actually in the middle of a second trial which looks very promising. While taking it, I began to think more clearly and slept literally like a baby. No horrible side effects like those associated with Lyrica, and Cymbalta and other meds, including narcotic pain meds. in Nashville
