Guest guest
Hi Emma, Thanks for the info. So do you know if one is calcium toxic, do they have an overload of calcium so that calcium intake is not needed? Also, do you know of a test that can be given to determine this? I don't really want to treat something that isn't there is why I ask. Thanks, Darci > > hi > > i was advised that to reduce calcium toxicity, you will need to add in IP6 > > hth > > emma > > > --------------------------------- > How much free photo storage do you get? Guest guest
My daughter takes medication for seizures. A couple of the ways it functions is by inhibiting calcium and glutamines. Apparently, the calcium ion channels get stuck open and allow glutamines to flow in abundance (which is not good). Magnesium can " relax " the calcium ion channels. I have recently begun to supplement my daughter with magnesium citrate (less than a week now) so I can't attest for it yet....but that's the reason I'm going to try it. So, I think knowing this much, it could be derived that even if she didn't have extraordinarily high levels of calcium...a lack of magnesium to regulate it could be the cause of her calcium toxicity. Insulin resistance can cause magnesium wasting or poorly functioning kidneys or a modern diet can cause a deficiency of magnesium (as well as other things).
