I am going to do it, if fact, that is my afternoon project. I hope they read it in 20 or 30 years and we all laugh, but I do want them to be able to understand WHY I did this, especially if anything goes wrong. I think it is just for me. I need to feel like I have covered all the bases. I have been very specific about things with my husband... like unless Dr. R shows up with a blood alcohol level, no lawsuits, no matter what.... That kind of thing. I want him to know EXACTLY how I feel. I want my three boys to know how I feel about each of them and why I would be willing to take this risk. I will keep the letters for them, and someday, when they are grown they can read them and laugh at how crazy their Mom was, just before we jump out of an airplane to celebrate my 75th birthday!!!! Guest guest
I was thinking about doing it too. My girls are so little, 7 & 9, and I feel like I have so much molding and shaping to do before they are adults. I would hate that they won't remember me but if anything does happen I do want some little note they can hang on to, to remember their mom. And yes, I am going to give my husband plenty of instructions --just in case. My husband knows how I feel about him, but I am going to write one to my best friend. I have known her since kindergarten. , that is a great idea -jumping on your 75th. I think I am going to bungy jump! Jackie in DE
Guest guest
You know, I did all of this long before surgery, You can die in a plane crash or car accident. I just think it would be a terrible feeling to be dying and wish I had left them a message or something to guide them. If you can write a 5-10 page letter to the Doc. You can leave a letter of love and hopes for anyone you love. Trisha Lanman praying Dr. R. will help me to the other side soon!!!
