Guest guest
Carol, Re your DR said no... My sister-in-laws sister-in law had the old open version of stomach stapling done over 20 years ago. She was over 300 pounds and had heart problems. lost around 120 pounds with the surgery and has not regained much if any back. She had so much nausea that she developed a negative responce to eating for the first 4 months. I wrote her when I was considering WLS, she said that she would still have done it even if she had known about the nausea. She's alive and healthy even if overweight by modern standards, she's 5'7'' and in her 50's now. Hope that this is of some help. in Chapel Hill MGB 3-6-00, no problems what so ever!
