Guest guest
Just before my surgery, I read a long article about how to recover quickly after surgery. It stressed that you need to be stress free for a week or two before (often the most stressful time - getting organized etc etc). This puts your body and system in the best place for rapid recovery. Also, they said if you could pretape calm, happy music that you enjoy and listen to it before and during surgery, that it makes a great difference in speed of recovery. -- Of course, I followed none of these suggestions - I was too busy, disorganized and stressed to put together a tape or cd. At least it was only 2 strikes. But I recovered fairly rapidly for an RNY, but I wish I had gotten my act together to have the tape. I might have been less stressed in the OR prior to anesthesia!!!! Anyway - just wanted to add my 2¢. Glad to hear the group today are coming along famously --- Thanx Lori...... Rgds, Shari/No Cal ALSO you are allowed head phones with you they let you keep them on right before =====
