Guest guest
The GI dr. ordered the fallowing test on my son: IgA, IgG, IgM, Am, CBC, CMP, RAS testing for food allergies, PH & Reducing substance/stool/ stool wright stain/WB and culture difficult toxin. This am I got a call; he said everything came back normal. He wants to do more testing, so they will call me today for an apointment. I asked, by test coming back normal, what it can be wrong with my baby. For example if he eats oranges he gets diarrhea within 2 hours. If he eats almond milk, he wake up screaming in pain, rolling in the floor and does not want to be touch. What is next? What other test can be done? Guest guest
Ask for copies of the labs. Either pick them up or having them faxed/mailed to you. " Normal " to a traditional GI doctor may not be " normal " to someone specializing in ASD kids. Jody mom to -6 and -9 SCD 1/
Guest guest
I did as you told me, to my surprise my son MCV (size of red blood cells), and MCH (oxygen carried by the red blood cells) was a little high, a little searching and I learn that this is cause by Vitamin B-12 deficiency, and even though I know my son consume enough food that contain this vitamin, the I found this: " A protein called intrinsic factor is secreted by the stomach and is required for vitamin B12 absorption from the lower part of the small intestine. Signs of B12 deficiency often occur in the presence of adequate B12 intake, but result from impaired absorption. Conditions that are associated with this include some gastric surgeries, pancreatic disorders, bacterial overgrowth or intestinal parasites and damage to the intestinal cells. " I am going to call my DAN Dr. and send him the test. Thanks for the advice " Jody G. " momtobandj@...> wrote: Ask for copies of the labs. Either pick them up or having them faxed/mailed to you.
