Guest guest
Summer, Did you child/children have difficulty gaining weight? We are having trouble in this area-- Thanks, SCD helping our son? Hi all, A little while ago while my son sat in his room spinning a lid or something (he's done a little less of this since starting SCD) I suggested we read a book. For a long time he has only wanted to read alone (look at the book I mean, he's only 3 and can't read!) and turn to certain pages he likes. He'd take his book and go sit on the floor by himself. Anyway, he said " yes " to my suggestion, so we sat together on the rocking chair and I proceded to read him the whole book The Cat in the Hat Comes Back (it's a long one) without him trying to take control or leave to be on his own. I'm very encouraged! He did not pay 100% attention as I read, but to sit through a whole book is quite an accomplishment. This is only our 7th day on SCD. He also seems to quite easily answer yes or no questions while before he'd usually just repeat the question. Sue and For information on the Specific Carbohydrate Diet, please read the book _Breaking the Vicious Cycle_ by Elaine Gottschall and read the following websites: http://www.breakingtheviciouscycle.info and http://www.pecanbread.com

Guest guest
, Yes, with my youngest. He wasn't growing very much either. My oldest is a little skinny, but not too. Both had tremendous food issues pre SCD and at the beginning of the diet. Ben, my 5 year old in a few days, was wearing 24 month-2T clothes in January, now is wearing 4T. How long have you guys been on the diet? Summer jonathan cox jjcox22@...> wrote: Summer, Did you child/children have difficulty gaining weight? Guest guest
Summer, Thank you for your post--very inspirational! It gives me hope--my daughter is doing better after 3 months SCD, but we are still struggling with yeast, sleep issues, and only on 3 foods! However, I am hoping things will continue to improve--she sure looks healthier and is happier. I am thinking of starting enzymes, but I am nervous about it--how did it go for you? Thanks,
