Guest guest
Dede, Thanks for posting this....it's interesting in that it creates more confusion in an already confusing area! I personally have read Suzanne Somer's books, and since the bulk of the books are the interviews with Doctors, and their comments support and coincide with the information found in OTHER books on natural hormone therapy, I find them valuable and interesting. This article sounds to me like a swipe at not only Suzanne Somers but the whole bio-identical hormone bandwagon. I ask this question: Which would you rather take? The hormones that are created in a lab that are different from your bodies hormones? Or the hormones created in a lab that are identical to your bodies hormones? My answer is the latter. For obvious reasons. No, I think Suzanne Somers is ok. Once you get past all the fear-mongering by those who stand to lose out the most, you'll find that she promotes a generally natural and healthy lifestyle, like what we've always discussed on this group. The hormones are optional. But if you suffer from menopausal symptoms and want relief, her options are better than the standard HRT with horse urine pills. (Premarin.) Guest guest
I left this comment at the end of the article. Actually, what Suzanne Somers touts as relief from menopausal symptoms makes much more sense than what most doctors prescribe for menopausal symptoms, which is pregnant mare urine (Premarin). Which would you rather take: Hormones created in a lab which are different from what your body makes, or hormones created in a lab that are IDENTICAL to what your body makes? Uh, DUH. This article is just taking a swipe at Suzanne Somers and her experts, because what they are doing is upsetting the apple cart that has made millions off of women who follow " Dr. advice " like cows with rings through their noses. Women have paid to be experimented on in the medical field for years, with Norplant, breast implants, various synthetic HRT formulations, IUD's, until we find out, " OH!! There are problems with those things, sorry! " What makes them saints, and her a sinner? I'll stick with the bio-identicals, myself, and make up my own mind about the " experts " . Guest guest
You know, Patty........experts dont mean what it is supposed to......I think it means experts at deception.......I'd rather the bio-id ones myself.........fortunately, I dont have menopausal symptoms.......I am lucky ! Love Dede Re: interesting article....... I left this comment at the end of the article.
