APPROVED - FINALLY YEAH!!!

Hello Everybody,

Sorry I have not posted in some time (since January)........but, now I can

finally

say I'VE BEEN APPROVED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yippee!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Some of you may remember me, I'm in Raleigh and had been waiting since

October for this surgery (my first clinic visit was in October). My

previous insurance company (CORVEL), denied all three of my appeals, based

on an 'exclusion clause'.

So in January I changed employers (I had to anyway, because my contract on a

Year 2000 project ended 12/31/99), anyway I signed up for BCBS of NC

'Personal Care Plan', but then had to wait 90 days for coverage to be in

effect. Anyway, to make a long story short, it only took BCBS about two

weeks to approve me once they had all my medical records and referral from

my PCP.

I still can't believe it! I was getting so discouraged back in January etc.

I was beginning to think it was not going to happen, (unless I paid myself).

But I was patient, I waited (these 90 days were the longest days ever!) So

my surgery date is May 26th.........does anyone else have this date?

I got way behind in my email and am still playing catch up, I want to thank

those who have been supportive in the past (& the future) and to all who

have provided me with valuable pre-op & post op information.

Yikes......now I am nervous & scared, but I'm now doing the MGB Happy

dance!! can you see me??
