Dearest One ,

I know what you mean. I am 79 yrs this year and I have had upper and lower back pain, knee and neck pain. I have a massage every month to help relive the pain. Acupuncture it good too.

My gut symptoms actually got some better almost immediately. I'm talking about body pain, spinal is the worst, some headaches, and it seems to be making more arthritic type pain as well. Sort of everything is worse in the pain department except gut pain. I think your idea of gut bacteria shifting makes a lot of sense.

I am not sure what you mean.. but my pain increased dramatically when I first dropped grains and then it was the first thing to go away.. I was dealing with excruciating bowel and anal pain.

Are you talking about gut pain or like body pain?

Many things can be attributed to die off. I like the idea of a more global view that the gut ecology is shifting. Yes, bacteria is dying but there are also bacteria repopulating and many are shifting.. Than there is the issue of biofilms that we need to get rid of. I think some of us that deal with hard core stubborn yeast are dealing with a biofilm issue. The housing structures that the yeast live in.. actually live on post die-off. Those <insert expletive here> don't wanna die.

Thank you Gay. I'm so sorry you have so much pain, too, but I am

encouraged in a funny sort of way that I'm not the only one. I'm

off to my excellent doctor this afternoon and the main thing, other than

SCD, is going to be asking to track down the source of my pain. I really

don't know at this point what's making it so bad and I'd at least like to

know if I have limits on what I can do or need more Ibuprofen or what. I

just called my compounding pharmacy and yes, they can compound Ibuprofen

for me just as they've been doing my Tylenol for years. I am

planning to get back to acupuncture, which certainly does help a lot, and

my chiropractor IF that isn't contra-indicated. I haven't had the energy

for a couple of years to see either one very often.
