Welcome Suzanne,

I run frozen fruit pieces through the food cone of my Omega 8002 juicer and add

a little

honey. It is just delicious. I've done it with pineapple (canned Dole) berries,

and

pears respectively.

Sorry, the broth is not legal. No prepared or canned broth is legal.

Sounds OK.

Read BTVC and study all the links at :

read the above site where there is a list of supplements

SCD is really about those foods that have to be restricted. Trust me, there are

so many left

in the categories of fruit, vegetables, nuts, honey, meat fish and pouktry and

endless ways

to combine them into meals and snacks,

Change is difficult but most find SCD easier than GF was.

omelets, cheese blintzes,, SCD pancakes, SCD baked bread with nut butter and

homemade

jam, SCD granola made with fruit and nuts but no grain.

Muffin recipes are on the website above and in the BTVC book.

Try pears instead of apples.

Hi Suzanne,

Welcome to the crew...hope it all goes well...

My favorite casein free ice cream is one that's posted on

digestivewellness.com, the follow this link:

http://www.digestivewellness.com/itempage-1008-1-18-1543.html

Try getting some SCD cookbooks, like Grain-free Gourmet, Lucy's cookbook...

or take advantage of the many recipes online: www.scdrecipe.com/scdrecipes.pdf

Good Luck!

I am new to the list but have been following the diet for my child (9,

pddnos) for a short while. I need some guidance that I haven't found

in BTVC. Can anyone tell me:

Is the Shelton's canned chicken broth legal?

What about an anti-yeast supplement as I have read this diet can

aggravate gut yeast problems?

I find I am lost at the grocery store on this diet. I had the GFCF

diet down after following it for over 5 years so it is very frustrating

now to have so many questions.

Also, any breakfast ideas would be very helpful. My daughter still

cannot handle bananas (severe phenol and amine problem) or apples. I

need some good muffin recipes, bread recipes. Thanks for any help you

can give me.

It's OK for my son, but you can omit it as it's optional.

What about store brands that have only tomatoes and salt in the

ingredients? AFAI remember that's supposed to be ok. Has anything

changed?

Take care, Fay

Kedem is legal and comes organic and conventional and very delicious.

Many people on Pecanbread use the canned tomato goods that just say tomatoes and

salt

(at their own risk as tecnically canned vegetables are illegal) I have only

used the tomato

juice.

Hi Fay,

For tomato juice:

See " Tomato juice - Canned " at:

http://www.breakingtheviciouscycle.info/knowledge_base/t_z.htm

All other canned commercial tomato products are illegal.

Kedem grape juice is legal.
