Guest guest
This is just a guess, but I wonder if you saw some improvement when you went on the diet, but his gut was still leaky enough that by now he has sensitized to the SCD foods. I'm wondering if the dark circles, tantrums, etc. are a sign of having recently sensitized to something or several things on the SCD. That wouldn't mean that SCD is bad for him, or that he should eat grains, but that you need a way to handle the sensitivities. You could try rotating foods and giving more variety, although I know that might be tough if his diet is limited. You might also consider exploring the alternative treatment called NAET (Nambudripad Allergy Elimination Technique). That treatment can eliminate allergies/sensitivities, although you still need to continue to heal the gut so that they don't recreate. The only caution is that if you decide to try it, don't give up if the first practitioner you try doesn't work. The first one I tried gave me and my son no improvement, but with the second practitioner, my son's eczema cleared up in one day. Hope some of this helps, Marilyn leaky gut, low thyroid/adrenal, SCD 3 weeks Wondering what I should do? > Hi there, > > My son has been SCD for a little over 5 mos now.
