I went to GNC and the drugstore today to get all the supplements and stuff

(except prescriptions) that I will need, in preparation for surgery in a couple

weeks. The reason I went ahead and bought all the stuff is that GNC offered 20%

off all week for gold card members -- so, I just thought I'd pass on this " tip "

that every 1st Tuesday of the month (and sometimes the whole first week) GNC

gives 20% off everything you buy -- and that is on top of any other sale prices,

too.

I bought around $150 of vitamins and supplements and saved $45. GNC has a great

" women's " multi-vitamin that I have been taking anyway, but will continue to

take after surgery. I also got the Vitamin E, Vitamin A, Creatin, Glutamine,

and Whey Protein there. Oh, and I also got a B-Complex because I think extra B

vitamins and the folic acid in it is good for women.

Anyone can buy a gold card at any time for something like $10 and when you buy

it, regardless of when in the month it falls, you get 20% off. So, if you are

buying a lot of stuff, like I was today, it more than pays for itself to sign

up. Plus, I have found the GNC staff to be friendly, helpful -- and they even

call to remind you when " super Tuesday " is coming up.

Sorry, I don't mean to sound like a GNC advertisement -- but I thought I'd pass

this along. I thought it was also nice that they had everything I needed and I

didn't have to go traipsing all over town looking for stuff.

And, Genz, thank you so much for the sippee cup idea!! I bought myself two in

the drug store today in preparation (one with a little straw and one without).

You are right, it is nice that they have markers on the side for ounces and

measurement. Also, they don't all look " babyish " -- I found some in rather

fashionable purple and bright pink colors!!

Now, question -- I bought the sugarfree Citrucel -- does anyone have a

preference for this versus regular? I thought the sugarfree might dissolve

better and who needs the extra sugar anyway (has it every caused dumping in

anyone?).

Is anyone else besides Nate scheduled for May 25? Counting down the days. . . .

..

Best / e

P.S. thanks for the hypnosis guide!! I am making modifications and

practicing it myself -- mine seems to keep having a lot of horses and dogs

thrown in! Speaking of horses, I can't wait until I can actually RIDE

again!!!!!!
