Guest guest
Dear Girls, Oh how I enjoy reading al the posts everyday. Its so interesting sitting on the pre op side of the fence desperately waiting to be set free . That is exactly how I perceive my weight. I have been imprisoned for 48 years, with a few breaks of freedom in between. Those breaks were filled with the fear of regaining the weight, and the humiliation and embarrassment of ending up heavier than I started. Oh what a tangle web we weave. I must admit before the hope of the Mgb, I think that I had unconsciously decided that I did not have in me anymore to diet on my own. I've said it before but I think of this surgery as the " Jaws of Life " helping me to get free. I just love hearing all the success stories. , I know what you mean when you say that you want to run up to all the obese people to try to help them. I haven't even completed my packet, however, I am waiting for the approval, though I doubt if I'll get one. I find myself telling friends that are suffering as well about Dr R. Someone said cloning him would be a great idea, I second that vote. There should be one of him in every state, like New York for example. Ok, just wanted to chat. Waiting impatiently.... Guest guest
Dear Funnygirl, Having been a widow for only 5 months now, I feel that I have to find ME again too. My weight was always an issue in my life, in my marriage and forever in my mind. I could work a whole room with the fat jokes. I was the life of the party, until of course someone said something to me about my weight. Oh boy, that amazingly enough would destroy me inside. My dream is to be thin once and for all and to help all of us out there who are suffering in silence. Pam, I was fascinated about what you said about the visits to the psychiatrist after the surgery. Is it mandatory? and what issues do they address. Its funny that I think after the surgery if all goes well, and I pray that they do, that my issues would start to lessen, but I guess that certainly is not the case. This wonderful group always keeps me on my toes, Will write again soon.......... Susie ________________________________________________________________ YOU'RE PAYING TOO MUCH FOR THE INTERNET!
