Leafy greens are a good source, but if you're nauseous...??? Yogurt has a decent amount of K+ in it.If you do have to take a supplement, they do have it in a powder form(similar to Citrucel).make sure you get something on your tummy first(yogurt, citrucel, etc.to help protect it!) Low potassium can be life threatening!(I know you know this since your hubby's a doc)It's about the only thing post-op that can get you " in the weeds " so to speak! Take care...you've got Romainia to go to,don't you? >> , Mine is 2.5 I started taking the perscription med last night. My pcp insisted on it. It's a capsule...very large, but I break it open and drink it with water. My tummy is doing much better. Things just taste different...so I have a hard time stomaching flavored things, like citricil....I start dry heaving.! YUCK..... I'm not going to Romania for a while...I don't think. WE'RE adopting again....hopefully a little 2.5 yr old Romanian girl. We'll see, Romanian has decided to make some changes, and we have NC INS to get through...the longest wait in the country.....but maybe this fall. I'm dying to get her. But identified adoption always tend to fall through. Thanks for the help and advise....everyone, get your potassium checked! Dede
