Guest guest
You are doing soooooo much for your son. You have no reason whatsoever to feel any guilt. Just because a decision you made didn't work out like you hoped or thought it would, doesn't make it a bad decision. Review the list of all that you are doing for your son over and over and you will know that there is no reason for you to feel guilty (though it's normal and we all feel that way at times) and that you are a GREAT mom. Has done really well and made amazing progress. We recently removed the enzymes from his diet because he wasn't vomiting up undigested food anymore. He seemed to be doing really well without them, until recently. He began to regress a bit. We figured out he had yeast again probably from removing the enzymes because they had antifungal properties. So we've started a 7 day round of Diflucan and back on the enzyme with every meal. I just feel awful because he is so miserable at times right now and it's my fault because I stopped giving him the enzyme. We have his second birthday party this weekend and I am praying that the diflucan and enzyme will have begun to work enough so that he feels ok to enjoy his party and not be overwhelmed. I don't have an actual question, just wanted to vent and see if anyone can relate. I am just feeling so guilty right now. All I want to do is help him and instead I ended up hurting him this time. I am becoming exhausted by all the supplements, the diet, the ABA hours, doctor's appointments, transitions tantrums, etc. -Kim Son Noah 2 years old __________________________________________________
Guest guest
Hi Kim, The schedule is quite demanding! My son is going through giggle spirts lately and I believe it is from yeast die off from grapefruit seed extract. It is pretty powerful. I'm not sure what to rotate in next.......more garlic? Oil of oregano? The DMSA stirs up the yeast and he is on it this weekend. The whole first week of school I have been on the phone fighting for more services with the school district and just trying to get a schedule.....not to mention scheduling the private OT and speech and ABA. My son has had two days of typical preschool this week and he is doing very well......but.................... Yes, it can be very overwhelming. I need to go make nut yogurt now. Guest guest
its entirely normal with supps to drop them and then find they are still needed, do it all the time............... if enzymes are needed i don't think its ever possible to go back to not using them better to drop aba and focus on nutrition and supps so he beomes self starting on learning zinc is very importnat for yeast but needs to be the right form and have co factors minerals he may not enjoy the party, if it is too much then why have a party? > > > Hello, > My son is autistic and has been SCD since January of this year.
