Guest guest
Della, Nice pic......what weight class were you in??? I will let you know if I do compete but I am not sure if it is in me to get up on a stage....even though I know if I get myself looking like I did before implants I probably would want to show it off especially to show people that they can look good at any age. I guess once I got into shape I just assumed I would stay looking like that but I didn't and I definitely feel the implants were a great cause for my training downfall.....I am back in the gym since last week and I am going to go as heavy as I can with the exception of chest for a little while longer. Let me know how your daughter does in competition. I am attaching a pic of my abs when I had them....and my bicep. Remember I don't look like that now but my goal is to get back to that and beyond.............let's see if I can achieve it! I stayed looking like this for almost a year so that is why I didn't think the implants would change things, but for me they did. I am 46 going on 47 in these pictures. Yes girls we can achieve whatever we want at any age!!!! Anyway to all a very happy holiday and a happy New Year toooo. I hope everyone that is having problems on this site gets well. I can tell you that being sick for 3 months was not fun!!! Not that you guys know me but I just got engaged on Christmas day.....whooo hoooo.......love my man! Explantation I have noticed on the website that many of you say to not have my implants taken out in the doctor's office. I understand this for the obvious reasons, but I did find a doctor in my area that has done plenty of explantation sugeries and I am thinking about getting in done through him, but it would be done in his office. Other doctors I have talked to either didn't have the experience or are too expensive. I really want the surgery done but I can't afford a $6000 surgery by a well known awesome doctor in Dallas! I need help. Attachment(s) from Della Lambert 1 of 1 Photo(s) 6-22-2007-14.jpg
Guest guest
Congratulations on the engagement - how exciting! Those abs and biceps rock, mindy! I agree it is possibe at any age to get fit . I trained a friend for a comp a couple of years ago - she lost 60# and was in her late 50's. She was an inspiration. I was in light class - about 108# in my pic. I am quite and not one to draw attn either - I feel like my implants bring too much attn to me and they are only 34B but it is big for me after being without my whole life. It's like "careful what you ask for'. I am glad I found this site and am saying a prayer each night for everyone's health. I look forward to hearing from a surgeon this week to discuss explantation. When I read the journey others have been through I am very aware how fortunate i am. Thanks Mindy and everyone for sharing and support. Guest guest
Thank you....yes I am excited!!! Thanks for the compliment on the abs and bi's too. That is great that you got someone that fit....especially health wise. Now, I have some questions about explantation....if the surgeon who put them in cannot take them out what kind of surgeon is he. I never even thought or was told anything about there being any kind of problem as far as getting the implants out. As far as I knew my surgeon put them in and then he took them out. I of course, ended up having implants put back in again, but after reading all the health issues in reference to implants on this site, I am nervous for the future. I want to be a healthy person, I always have been. I plan to train back with the weights hard and I plan to train for a biathlon coming up in April. My new implants are almost 2 months old and I am praying that I have no more problems......I feel so bad for all you girls on here that have gotten so sick and it is very scary that it could of been from the implants, especially when we all thought that saline was okay. It is just water.......but I guess it is not okay. Della, please let me know what the surgeon explains to you about explantation. On another note, I wish everyone here a happy and of course healthier New Year!!!
