Guest guest
Hi Patty, Thank you for the kind words....Yes, I have been dealing with the lupus since the early 90's....flares can last anywhere from 6 weeks or so to 8 + months......this is what my history has been...... I was on loads and loads of steroids all thru the 90's, and that is why I have osteoporosis.....and 90 yr old bones ! I was taken off back then and then given them again in 2003, and when I had them within 3 days I had the worst re-bound of lupus ever ! it lasted for a very long time. and tetertotted for 2 years until it shut down all my internal organs. I am sure this was because of a rampid systemic fungal infection....... from all the hits to my immune system. I am on NO meds for it right now......as I have a problem with all the synthetic and pharmaceuticals.... I can always tell when one is coming on.........it can take from a month to a couple months from when it starts. First I start getting more headaches and I get these little round blue/purple bruises all over me.....just like someone dipped a pensil eraser in ink and blotted it on me. After that stage, my nails get brittle and yuky, and my hair starts falling out alot, and I start with the bladder spasms and kidney pain. Then I start with the thermo-disregulation.......low grade temps and sub normal temps both.......and then the bones start hurting and aching, and the joints do too. Tired..........very very tired, and not sleeping well either.......... The bladder spasms set in and off and on kidney pain. The pancreatitis tries to be a problem as well, so I have to be extra good at low fats, while still getting good fats........I started with the butterfly rash a few days ago...... I have been on cap acid for almost a year now, and for a couple months just taking 1600 mg a day, so I am gonna double that, ( actually started yest.) and I am gonna double up on the amount of organic/cold pressed flax oil mixed with cottage cheese, and see what that does for me..... I cannot take anti-inflammatories cuz of heart meds, and the aspirin caused severe erosion in my esophagus, so I havent taken any of that in a year. So...........I am winging it.......doing my natural things and seeing what helps.... I am taking the D-mannos full time, ( started it a few months ago) ........and it has done wonders for me........but still at times have the bladder spasms and kidney pain . I have added extra black pepper.......as it helps with inflammation.....and I plan on getting some blueberries to add as well......... I will make sure I rest alot, but I will also walk on my treadmill as often as I can, even if it is 10 min at a time.....and I will bounce alittle every day on my exercise ball to keep the lymph nodes moving... Anyway, this began in November.......and increased alot about 10 days ago, So, with my new things I am trying, ( beefing up what I am doing already) we will see what happens. I will let ya know how it goes...... Love you bunches ! ! ! Dede Newbie here - just had mammogram > > > I'm 43 and have had implants for 10 years, no problems at all. But.... two weeks ago I found a lump on the surface of the left implant, about 1 inch above the areola. I thought it was a reaction to dairy, which happens on my chest if I'm not careful. But it persisted for about 3 days, and then it got harder and bigger. It doubled in size by day 5(it's now about the size of a pencil eraser). I saw my doctor as soon as he could take me and he suggested a mammogram asap. He said that it could just be s cyst, or something else..... I had the mammogram yesterday and will get the results Monday (we hope). ly, I'm scared to death now. I've heard all the horror stories and have had two friends go through hell. I was always the "healthy one", but now I may not be so lucky. Well, it feels good to talk. I hope to post on Monday with good news. Gulp.
