Guest guest
Hi! My family has been trying SCD for a little over a week. My baby, 14 mo., has leaky gut, and this looked like the best option for her healing. She has basically been eating boiled chicken, chicken broth, and scrambled eggs during this time. Four days ago, I introduced cooked carrot " coins " . She passed the undigested carrot in her stool, which otherwise consisted of diarrhea. I took them away again. I tried to introduce one raw banana three days ago. She hasn't had another banana since because I went back to the intro diet . . . boiled chicken, chicken broth, and scrambled eggs. She passed one movement that had a section of formed stool and the rest was diarrhea. And then this evening we had to induce a movement with a glycerin suppository because she didn't pass anything yesterday. This stool was a small amount of yellow diarrhea with small black specks throughout. What is this? What do I do? Do I have to keep her on this diet of boiled chicken, chicken broth, and scrambled eggs much longer (it has already been over a week with those few interruptions of raw banana and cooked carrots? I am worried about keeping her on the intro. diet too long because she is a baby. Do I take away the eggs? Do I just move on? Please help!
