Guest guest
Wow! I am so impressed! I ordered some tests that I have been wanting to get rechecked through the online Direct lab that one of our special ladies suggested...here is the link: https://www.directlabs.com/Home/tabid/36/language/en-US/Default.aspx I got the requisition the same day, and finally just had my blood drawn..yesterday. I got the results back already TODAY!!!! One day turn around! Amazing! I am really excited by my results, also. I ordered the following tests: ANA Thyroid Antibodies Thyroid panel CBC and Wellness Panel. My ANA was negative! Yay! My Anti TPO Antibodies were in normal range! My Anti-thyroglobulin antibodies were in range! Everything associated with my thyroid was in range! I am wondering if I even still have Hashimoto's?? There were a couple of things " off " that I expected...my cholesterol was too high. I need to look up two more things: My hemoglobin and my hematocrit were just slightly above normal. Don't know what that means. But so far, I am quite happy knowing that any autoimmunity I might have worried about is not there. I'm just really glad to know I can order these tests when I want to, and not have to make a dr appt first, and I can get the results the NEXT DAY! Happy Valentine's Day Everyone! Guest guest
Sounds like I might have been dehydrated...consistent with my kidney infection? " If a patient is dehydrated, the hematocrit may be elevated. Repeat testing after adequate hydration therapy will usually result in a more reliable result. " " Dehydration - Dehydration produces falsely high hemoglobin which disappears when proper fluid balance is restored. " > > Wow! Guest guest
Patty, your thyroid tests came back ok because you are on the correct amounts of armour thyroid meds........ you stop them, and more than likely the numbers will change. Do some extensive research before you change things...... Love Dede Re: Direct Labs is AMAZING! Sounds like I might have been dehydrated...consistent with my kidney infection? Guest guest
I have no idea...I've not kept track of my usage patterns at all. I haven't taken it regularly for at least a year. But just glad that overall, my tests look good. I think over time, as we take care of our bodies, we can see blood work normalize. At least I hope so, and I've been in touch with many women who just live normal lives again. It can be done! Patty > > > > > > Wow! Guest guest
You know, Patty, I think you are right for many of us.... and you know, if you feel as good as your tests look then that is awesome ! I think that you have found what works for you, and have testimony for it. It is so awesome to see it happen......and especially if it is yourself because you get it first hand.....and can share it with others. Even tho I have a very long road, at least I can see the light when they tried hard to turn it off for me... Many of my improvements have been from natural means, some from medical science, but hopefully with time that will change. Only God knows ! You know, if you sat down and wrote down everything you have done this last year, which has been alot, you can see how much you have accomplished in life and health. Have a beautiful day ! Guest guest
Dede, I think you have made some fabulous improvements, using your brain and intelligence in listening to what your body has been telling you, and following the natural methods and diet. You're a great testimony even now, though you are still waiting to get your implants out! Do you get blood work done regularly? I bought a great book recently called " The Lupus Recovery Diet " , by Jill Harrington, and she has some fantastic testimonies in there about people who have been cured of all kinds of autoimmune diseases, with a vegan diet. She describes the antigen-antibody complexes that clog up the bloodstream and then park in our tissues, which keeps that immune system response going. The cure involves stopping the creation of more antigen-antibody complexes (through food elimination, i.e., animal products), and getting rid of the complexes that are already there (through fasting and diet). The healing follows and it is so encouraging!! I know a vegan diet is hard for many to follow, but when it comes to health, no sacrifice is too big! Sending hugs, Patty > > > > > > > > Wow!
