Has anyone here experienced a problem with Flonase nasal spray aggravating their

pancreatitis or actually causing an attack? I've been using it and my

pancreatitis has acted up. I don't know if there is a correlation or not. It

could be something else causing the flare. Just thought I'd check with the

group.

THanks,

Jerry/NC

Hi Kaye,

Thanks for your input. Yes, Flonase is a corticosteroid. I think the dose is

50 mcg. per spray. Thanks for your help.

Joyce,

I'm glad the Flonase is working for you. It's a very effective solution to inflamed drippy sinuses. The active ingredient is a corticosteroid very similar to prednisone so it generally works very well to get rid of the inflammation that stuffs our heads up.

Back before I was diagnosed I lived on Claritin and Flonase every spring when my allergies kicked in. Haven't needed much but the Claritin recently but I'll use Flonase again if I need to.

interesting that when i checked the posts yesterday, several people talked about Flonase. It was prescribed to me on Tuesday for post nasal drip.

finally contacted pulmonary doc re: increased cough and funny feeling in top of chest

she prescribed Flonase to use for "3 solid weeks" and then call her

it is already making a difference

since i am already in the catastrophic phase of the prescription plan, it was only $2.10

of course i still owe a couple of thousand on my credit card for other meds

by the time it gets paid off, it will be time to start all over againl

glad to read that every one had a great time in orlando

- i don't have an answer to your question

the pulmonary doc just prescribed Flonase

all of my docs know that i have recently developed prednisone induced diabetes

This past wednesday, 3/18, i met with an endocrinologist who put me on a pill for diabetes--meforin (spelling???)

the endocrinologist said that after the transplant, the prednisone dose will probably be so high that they will probably have me on insulin

Joyce....

I'm not able to take predisone because it puts me into diabetes. I can't take anything with steriods. Do you have any suggestions to taking something other than Flonase?

Thanks,
