My question would be, why would your plastic surgeon not know what the

plastic literature says about capsule removal if she is doing the surgery?

Please know that a doctor with expertise will not mutilate you !!

Dr. Kolb has taken out 20 year old capsules so why can't your capsules

be removed if your surgeon is such an expert in this field

Capsules do not belong in your body

Capsules left behind will keep you sick

Capsules retain bacteria, fungus and mold

and retain particles from your implants

1999 - Implant Removal

2002 - Capsule Removal

After my capsules were properly removed by Dr. Kolb

a lot of my symptoms went away immediately

Dr. Kolb does not have any problems removing capsules

It's best you see a plastic surgeon that has expertise in this field

Hi lea....I understand what you are saying, but the doctor I am seeing does have the skill to remove the capsule. She does breast reconstructive surgery, as well as breast reduction. She also has experience repairing cleft lip and palate, and other reconstructive surgeries, like those necessary after burns. She is not in it for the money but to help people. She does not operate one of these fancy cosmetic plastic surgery boutiques where you go to be beautified. She does this all to help people. Because she deals with the horrors of repairing people as best she can, she does not want to unnecessarily mutilate me by removing my capsule when there is the evidence is not 100 percent certain that leaving the capsule in will do great harm. I understand where Dr. Blais is coming from, and I understand where my doctor is coming from. I have assisted in the OR with breast reduction surgery, and believe me, there is alot of bleeding, and alot of skill needed to do this surgery. All of the surgeries my doctor performs take alot of skill and heart to do. If you can think of a doctor, who would remove the capsule, that is great, but I have to go ahead and at least have the implants out. Do you realize that there may come a time in Ontario in the very near future, that the implant removal will not be covered by OHIP. I will then sit with these implants in me until the day I die. I will not have a choice but to keep them in whether they are toxic, ruptured or whatever else they happen to do. I need them out before OHIP delists this procedure. I do see that day coming. Take care.
