Guest guest
Hi everyone! In regards to the nurse who is trying to have the surgery through Medicaid..... I personally know the heartbreak of being denied by insurance and having no other recourse to pay for this surgery. I first found Dr. R. in August 1998 and first visited Durham in May 1999 to be promptly and absolutely turned down by two insurance companies. Needless to say I was devastated, but, I knew that in order to have this surgery I was going to have to work harder than ever before to save the money and not rely on anyone else, including using taxpayer money. It took a whole year, but I had surgery 5/3 and was able to pay every bit of it myself, in cash. I scrimped and saved all year, cut back everywhere I could to put back every dollar. I even refinanced my vehicles to have a lower monthly payment to be able to save more money each month. It also took every bit of patience I had, which is something I almost always run short on, but it was definitely worth it in the long run. Good things come to those who wait..........
