RE: Collagen source/protein supplements

Hi all,

I have been taking the protein supplement from Vita4Life and the company has

been following up with me by email to make sure I am satisfied. They also assist

in trying to get insurance reimbursement.

I had asked them the same questions, had posed and received a similar.

However, tonight I received a follow-up response and thought I would just cut &

paste it for everyone's info.

The protein used in our product is derived from a porcine (Pork) source. This

product is highly refined and is quite often used in medicinal settings due to

the low allergenic nature associated with this product. The term predigested

refers to the process that utilizes protease enzymes to cleave the larger

naturally occurring collagen to smaller units which are easier for the body to

process.

I hope this answers your questions. Pork is the source and protease enzymes are

used to break up the amino acid peptide chain, or as they put it " cleave " into

smaller units.
