Guest guest
Hi : I wrote you about endometrial ablation, where the lining of the uterus is burned to reduce heavy bleeding. I don't know what you are talking about with burning the cervix. I have never heard of that. I don't see how that would cause you periods to stop either, as the only way to do that is to take out the uterus, or go through menopause. As long as you are ovulating, and you still have a uterus, you will get periods. Guest guest
hi... my name is linda and I had the rollerball ablation done in 2007. the thermal is the same concept, except hot water burns the lining instead of an actual 'rollerball' ... let me say that you better really think about this one. I ended up with a hysterectomy. what happened is that I ended up with so much scar tissue (which the doctor said is intended) that I developed what is called 'Asherman's Syndrome' and had very painful periods (yes, periods) for over 10 months until my 2nd gyno decided to just do a D & C. he couldn't even get inside, there was so much scar tissue. my menstrual blood ended up pooling at the top and couldn't get all the way out due to the scaring (from the burning of the lining). I ended up with a hysterectomy in 2008. please do your research and REALLY THINK ABOUT THIS. if you are having heavy bleeding, get bloodwork done. I ended up having ITP, which explained the heavy bleeding. gynos just want to make a quick buck. trust me. find out the OTHER reasons you may be bleeding heavily (if this is the case). best of luck to you, and if you have any other questions, please write. xxoo -linda

Guest guest
Hi : I am sure that burning the lining of your uterus will reduce the amount of your periods. You have to take into consideration, that all women are different, and so you won't really know the affects of this until you experience it. Notice how all of us reacted differently to breast implants. Some have mild symptoms, and some have very severe symptoms. I know this procedure will help you, and give you relief, and that is a good thing. Hopefully, your menopause isn't far away, and that will certainly end your periods. At almost 52 years of age, I can't wait for that day myself, when my periods end. I will be seeing my GP and trying to get into an OBGYN to have the same procedure you are having. I hope it all works out for you. Guest guest
Fibroids, granulomas, siliconomas and all things scar tissue/fibrotic tissue gone wild, is very common amongst implant people. Like everything with people that have trouble with the implants, it is not always typical reactions you will have to anything, nor will you always have the same reactions to a same problem or proceedure. I have had some 20+ surgeries, with about 10 of those on my chest, and 2 of those for the implantation of a device that runs my heart. I have lots of experience in this department, and can honestly say that before and after surgery eating live foods ( raw veges and fruits) every single day and drinking home made Kefir every single day, has made a huge difference in how I heal....HUGE, I heal quicker, and I have noticed that I dont seem to be getting as much scar tissue....so........I highly recommend eating all the raw fruits and veges you can, dailey. I also eat cottage cheese with cold pressed organic flax seed oil creamed up in it every day, it helps wonders with your skin. Just be sure you ask how long before surgery you need to stop certin things.....Like garlic can make you blood thin, so you may not wanna eat much before surgery, I think there are more you want to avoid so be sure and ask. Best wishes on the surgery giving you the ultimate results. Dealing with uterine fibroids are no fun........ Keep us posted on how you are doing.....
