Guest guest
Carolyn, Many women take months to resolve their implant associated symptoms and some women take years. It is a very individual healing journey, affected by many different factors, such as your diet, your lifestyle, your environment and toxic exposures, your immune system dysfunction, your stress level, your liver function, your hormonal imbalances, and so on.... You can see why so many women have been affected in various ways, yet with similar constellations of symptoms. So....as for the restless legs syndrome, get on a high dose of magnesium daily. Magnesium helps to relax muscles and promote restful sleep. You may also want to make sure you are getting enough B12 daily, along with the other B vitamins. YOu can do this through sublingual B12 tablets in doses as high as 5000 mcg, or through taking Nutritional Yeast superfood, which comes in various forms, but I find the flakes very easy to take in water. You can also put the flakes in and on other foods, such as soups and popcorn. Vitamin D3 is also another supplement that most of us need. It is vital for strong bones and teeth, and many other functions. It works as a hormone, and most people are deficient in this important vitamin, especially at this time of year. Stabbing or shooting pains in the chest are common after explant as the nerves heal. They should dissipate over the year(s) ahead. Congratulations on your explant! I am happy to hear that you are looking forward to life implant free. God bless you, Patty > > Hi Everyone, > I had my implants removed two weeks ago today. I am feeling better and am able to take a deep breath without struggling to do so. However, I am having extreme problems especially at night with an almost electric feeling or trimmer in my uppper body to the point that I can not sleep. Also, the restless leg syndrome is worse as well. Can anyone tell me if you have experienced the same thing and if so were things exascerbated by the explant and how soon will it take to resolve? I am thinking of getting an appointment with a Neurologist simply because I am not able to sleep when this is going on. Any suggestions or information would be greatly appreciated. > Also, for all of you who are contemplating whether or not to have breast implants taken out, I encourage you to have the procedure. It was not bad at all and I only had to take two tylenol and that was for the post anesthesia headache. I did not opt for anymore reconstruction and I am going tomorrow to pick out my prosthesis. I am so excited:) > Blessings, > Carolyn >
Guest guest
Give yourself some more time. My symptoms got worse after explant before they got better. Personally, at about four and a half weeks post op, mine started to improve. I am now almost seven weeks post op and I have NO symptoms. Take care of yourself, drink lots of water, eat a clean diet and get on some good supplements. I also worked with a nutritionist/naturopath and saw a chiropractor which I believe helped me 100%. All my best to you, and congratulations on your explant! > > Hi Everyone, > I had my implants removed two weeks ago today. Guest guest
I didn't have the restless leg thing. I had muscle twitches, but they weren't too bad. Not everyone will have the same symptoms altogether, though. I know you are ready to feel better again. I was so scared when my symptoms got worse -- that's the worst kind of stress. Just take care of your body and be patient and don't panic like I did. lol! Your body just went through trauma, so you need to give it a chance to bounce back. You might want to go the nutrition route. I know Dr. Kolb does that for her patients or you can contact a nutritionist who knows about boosting the immune system and helping the body get back to the way it's supposed to be. Every now and then I'll have joint pain or body aches, but it's nothing like it was before surgery and immediately post explant. I also try to avoid foods that I know make mine worse like gluten, dairy and sugar. Those are bad things for us right now since we are trying to heal. Take care and let me know if I can help you any further or just to be a listening ear. > > > > Hi Everyone, > > I had my implants removed two weeks ago today.
