Guest guest
I am sorry about this being off topic, but... I had a large but slow growing uterine fibroid for the past 3 years. Now it has grown quite a bit more recently. It was the size of a tennis ball in January this year. I had it measured yesterday and it is now the size of a large grapefruit. I was also told I now have a cyst in my ovary, a probably polyp in my uterus, and that the lining of my uterine is thick and needs to be biopsied. The lining was biopsied three years ago (when the fibroid was first found) and found to be normal then. To what I can figure, my options are surgery of the fibroid (this is considered a major surgery with a major recovery time--and at this size usually a whole hysterectomy is done, although a lumpectomy can be attempted) or to continue to work on natural healing methods and do more geared specificaly to the fibroid issue. I have been in an extremely anxious/panicky state since finding out this news yesterday. I know the anxiety is not helpful but the news is new. Hopefully I will calm down soon and figure out what to do. Although I am 42 and have no kids, I would like to keep the option open of being a late mother, if I can get my health in order--so I don't want to lose my uterus for that reason, among other reasons. Any suggestions are appreciated.
