Guest guest
I got a call from the billing department at Durham Regional Hospital the other day. They said they verified my insurance (United Healthcare POS) and that I have a $1500 out of pocket. I also have a $300 deductible that she said hasn't been met yet. I told her I have had a lot of tests and Dr's visits and I know the deductible HAS been met already, so she said she would make a note of that. But, I still have a $15oo out of pocket. Now, they are in my network and I thought that meant they have a contract (managed care) with United. Does this mean I have to pay the $1500 up front before I can get the surgery? I am scheduled for Monday the 15th and I don't want to show up just to have them say " give us 1500.00 now " !! Dr. Rutledge is also in my network and I got the bill from his office for the $15 co- pay and the rest is either written off (because of the agreed upon contract with United) or paid by insurance. I know this is really wordy and I am sorry but could ANYONE PLEASE help me?? I don't want this to worry about before the surgery and I don't want to ask too many questions to the billing dept. at the hospital and give them any ideas!!!!
