Guest guest
Hi , Nice to see you back on the group, but I'm sorry to hear of your lump. That is definitely disconcerting to hear. I think my concern about the lump, besides the obvious concern about cancer, would be the concern associated with residual capsules. Even though your doctors told you that they had removed the capsules intact, without seeing the operative report or any other evidence of complete removal, there always exists the possibility that it is scar tissue that has calcified. But either way, you have to find out. Of course, residual capsule that has calcified would be the best outcome, other than a benign cyst. Please keep us posted, will you? What was done for your mastitis? I also want to research one more thing that I remember Dr. Kolb saying at one time...it has to do with the incidence of breast cancer in those women who have had implants. If I remember right, the statistics showed that the prevalence of breast cancer was reduced, oddly enough. That is something I will need to verify for sure though. Stay hopeful and positive and please keep us posted! Love you! Patty > > Hi Everyone, > > I haven't posted on here for nearly five years now,I had one saline implant in 1996 (my story is on here somewhere) and got very sick! was diagnosed with raynauds, arthritis, fybromyalgia ect and finally had it removed in 2005 after lots of help from the kind ladies on here. > > after about two years and many detox's I made a full recovery, I have recently had mastitis in my right breast (not the one the implant was in) and whilst they we're examining my left breast (the one that had the implant removed) they found a hard lump so have referred me to the breast clinic I'm now waiting for the appointment to come through. > > My question is has anyone else had breast lumps found years after the surgery and is there any link between this and the removal of my implant(I had the scar tissue removed intact but the doctors disposed of my implant before I could send it to Dr Blais so have no idea what state it was in)I live in England and my surgery was all done on the NHS so I apparently had no right to ask for the implant back. > > Any help would be kindly appreciated > Love x >
Guest guest
Hi , Congratulations on making a great health recovery after explant. I am sorry to hear your latest news, but wanted you to know you are not alone on the journey. As you are waiting, remember that 80% of found lumps are benign, so stay totally hopeful. I didn't actually have implants. I am on the list to strengthen my resolve to not get implants. Should you need it, I am also a member of a very supportive and knowledgeable group; breastcancer2/ We all know what it feels like to find a lump. Waiting to find out is the hardest. Personally, no one knows all the various factors that go into the sadly rising rates of BC around our globe. There are " Blue Zones " of wellness, and I highly recommend the book by that title. Let us know how your saga unfolds. We are here for you. Hugs of support, M.
