Guest guest
Hi , I'm sorry to hear of your symptoms. I understand how scary it can be and not wanting to believe it is your implants. I have had ALL your symptoms and then some. Doctors couldn't figure out what was wrong. I looked completely healthy (although skinny) and my blood work was excellent but I too lost weight and went down to 85 pounds. What I have since discovered is that I have SIBO (small intestinal bacterial overgrowth) and other intestinal parasites. That is why I could eat a ton and still lose weight (the parasites were taking my nutrition). My belief is that the implants cause a fight or flight response which causes high cortisol which in turn hinders digestion because your body is fighting the implants. As a result parasitic overgrowth occurs which then causes thyroid issues...all of your symptoms sound thyroid-related and the link between it and intestinal parasite infections is well documented. Most of the women on this forum have had thyroid issues and/or gut issues to varying degrees. What was most helpful for me was getting the implants out by contacting Dr. Kolb in Atlanta. www.plastikos.com There are also other doctors who will PROPERLY remove them and are listed in the Files to the left. It will be hard to heal your gut when your body is still fighting the implants. I also had a PCR test which is the most accurate test for pathogens in the body. Kolb will do that test for you. And yes, before I knew what was wrong I would have good and bad days. I'd be really exhausted one day and a little foggy, chalk it up to a busy life and stress and then the next day would have more energy and think I was ok. Knowing what I know now, I wish I would have had explantation then instead of putting it off. Good luck to you...I remember the feeling of learning all this...somewhat of a relief but at the same time scary. If you have any more questions, just ask any of us. Take care. PH >> Hi, my name is . I got saline breast implants in 2006,500cc. I loved them. It took a while to get use to them. The sharp pains, the burning feeling, all that kind of stuff. In 2008 I began to feel strange. I began to lose weight fast. I went from 115 to at my lowest 85 pounds. My hair started falling out. I started getting the strange headaches. I began to have dizzy dazed foggy times. Like I am not there. I had to go to the Er for shortness of breath, dizzyness and feeling like I was going to pass out. I feel so much more tired then I ever have. I wake up every morning with my heart pounding. I don't know if it is anxiety or what. I have to try to calm myself down every morning.A few times my hands will just tingle and feel numb. I am getting sick more and more. I am not myself anymore. I am tired. I want to be well AND me again. I have seen so many doctors and noone can find outwhat is going on. I am begining to feel crazy. After you hear you a fine so many times it gets to you. I am and have been back up to around 108 some days alittle less never anymore since 2009. I can not gain anymore weight. My doctor told me if you are eating what you say you will gain weight. I can't!! I wish that I had one doctor that could tell me it is my implants. I was fine before and now I feel old and worn down. I want these things out but am so scared that the doctors that tell me no it is not my implants would be right and I will never get better. I have muscle pain some days. The only joint that hurt me is my left elbow. The things that I feel evry day is the tiredness, weight problems, hairloss, anxiety, dazed fog feeling, and sometimes I will go a day with out the headaches but not very often. I feel the elbow joint pain every day but it doesn't bother me as much as the others. Are these the symptoms that you all have? Would you have good days and bad? Guest guest
, sweetie, you are ditto most of us........ Bless your heart, so glad you found us ! Please take some time and read in the archives about things you are interested in and ask questions. I suggest you have them removed, enbloc and use of drain tubes to keep the swelling and debris movin on out of you. This is the safest way to have it done. Many girls that just have the implants removed and not the scar tissue that forms, stay sick and dont start healing til after another surgery to remove the scar tissue. This is why it is recommended you have it removed all at once. All in one unit....cut around the scar capsule keeping the implant inside of it, so that any debris that is inbetween the implant and scar capsule are not emptied into your chest wall...... Guest guest
Hi ,I am so sorry that you feel sick. I do believe that your body is having a reaction to the implants. I have read about your very same symptoms on this other forum. Your symptoms sound too familiar and it's not a coincidence. It has to be the implants becasue all these other gals were fine before the implants came along. Please consider removing your implants and detoxing. Dr. Kolb offers a detox program. I don't feel that implants are safe. From: <erinbarber91@...>Subject: saline breast implants could they be making me sick? Date: Saturday, May 15, 2010, 10:09 AM Hi, my name is . It makes me sad to hear that you have been so sick; however, your symptoms are the same as most of the women in our group. We will all help you and give you all of the support that you need. I lost weight at first too, and I was down to 98 lbs. Then I started gaining weight, and we thought that was a good thing, but it was an under active thyroid. Guest guest
Hi and thankyou for your comment. I live in Shreveport, La. I do have support. I have a wonderful husband and family. My husband is deployed now. I am just scared that I won't get better. My symptoms seem to flare. That is why I am worried that it is not the implants. The things that never go away is the anxiety everysingle morning with the racing heart, the hairloss from all over my body, and the dazed feeling. Do most people flare also or are they bedridden every single day? I will be better( but not the normal me) some days and then there are times I feel like I was hit by a huge truck. Is that how it is for most? I want to be me again for my kids. This is not fair for them. My family are so great and support me with everything but I don't think they realize how I feel at times. And how sad and the anxiety is for me. I will never tell them. This is not there problem. I did this. I am just tired and want my life back. Thankyou all for everything!! Guest guest
Honey, you sound just like me, because I too have lost all of the hair on my body, except the hair on my head. The anxiety is one of my worst symptoms, but I do take drugs for this. The racing heart is common, and the brain fog is so frightening. I used to get lost in our home, because it felt like I was walking in deep fog. At that time, I had the MS society to help me, and they were wonderful. Honey, bless your precious heart, and you will get well. It makes me happy that you have a wonderful family, and a husband who believes in you. Now you have a very big family, because there are thousands of us, even though you cannot see us we are there. Many of us are like you; we have good days and bad days. Guest guest
Hi , I am sorry that you are going through so much suffering, but I can tell you that every word you wrote struck a chord with me. I went through the same symptoms. One thing about autoimmune disease that many people who are not familiar with how these things progress is the waxing and waning nature of it all. With autoimmune disease, which many women with implants have cropped up with over time, there will be good days and bad days. What is happening is called a " flare " . It is a kind of inflammation that takes over the body as the immune system starts attacking the body..that is why it is called " auto-immune " , auto meaning " self " and " immune " of course, referring to the immune system. Our own immune systems are targeting our bodies as being foreign or having " stuff " that needs to be eliminated, mistakenly. This can occur as we become toxic, and chemicals and other toxins become lodged in our cells. I myself experienced the rollercoaster ride of good days and bad days, the waxing and waning of illness. I had horrible brain fog, fatigue, vision disturbances, twitching, numbness and tingling, headaches, and cognitive dysfunction that so many women complain of. Just like you. So, in the end, it is a decision you have to make regarding how you want to proceed to get your life back. My experience has shown me that making the decision to remove my implants en bloc was the most important decision I could have made, followed by the pursuit of a natural healing method, involving detoxification and a change in lifestyle and diet. Diet is HUGE. In fact, if you have an autoimmune disease, the best thing you can do is to back off of junk foods, fast foods, sugar, hydrogenated oils, saturated fats, and focus more on the natural plant foods and an anti-inflammatory diet. It took me 4 years to get better, but I made it!!! I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's autoimmune thyroid disease a few years after explant, showing that the autoimmune nature of my implant-caused disease had not been eliminated completely, but only effectively managed. I took Armour thyroid to help with my slowed metabolism for a period of time. But I am happy to report that at my last testing of antibodies to my thyroid, there were NONE!! I was told that I didn't need to worry about it anymore. I'll accept that happily! It has now been 12 years since explant. I hope this is encouraging to you. There are no guarantees that explant will heal you immediately. It's not like pulling a bad tooth and taking antibiotics. It is incredibly more complicated than that. But we have had decades of experience combined with all of the women who have been explanted and gotten better, and we can say with a great amount of confidence that proper explant, followed by a detoxification protocol and proper diet will go a long way towards healing. You CAN have a normal life again, and feel good again. It will just take some time, a little money, and a lot of work. Please write if you have questions. That is what we are here for. Sending hugs and hope, Patty > > Hi, my name is . I got saline breast implants in 2006,500cc. I loved them. It took a while to get use to them. Guest guest
Hi , my name is maria, i had saline implants in for over 10 years. from the moment the implant went in i suffered IBS and tension headaches but worst of all when my implant deflated in September 2008 i suffered so many side affects it was horrific. I was dizzy all the time, faint, visual problems, chronic constant headaches, off balances all the time, tingling hands and arms, chest pain, breathing problems, feeling sick, IBS,skin burning, rashes, dermatitis, skin infections, anxiety and panic attacks, weight loss and hair loss. All these side affects lasted for many months, The headaches and IBS stopped as soon as they took the implant out. I still suffer with constant dermatitis, hair loss, some brain fog and the dizziness and feeling faint has improved there are some good days and some bad days. All the doctors i have come across don't help, Al through i had my implant removed my plastic surgeon did not remove my capsule and i am now fighting to get it removed, i am terrified of having an other operation but it has to be done. All the best to you and wish you a speedy recovery. xx From: <erinbarber91@...>Subject: saline breast implants could they be making me sick? Date: Saturday, 15 May, 2010, 18:09 Hi, my name is . Guest guest
Hi, my PS said i had minimal capsule so there for she did not remove it, back then i had no knowledge about explantation and knew nothing about this group i was completely lost. That PS was such an unpleasant person she had no heart and did not believe my implant made me ill, i recently saw her to discuss removing the capsule but shes not going to do it,she said that this support group and all the research i am doing is making me paranoid. I live in London and my explantation was done on the NHS, i now have to go private so they can remove the capsule. What a battle! why does everything have to be so difficult. maria xx From: <erinbarber91>Subject: saline breast implants could they be making me sick? Date: Saturday, 15 May, 2010, 18:09 Hi, my name is . Thankyou so much for your help. Guest guest
, Most women have been told that their saline implants are perfectly safe...I was told by my surgeon that I had the safest ones on the market, so I couldn't be sick from them. But the doctor was completely wrong! Even when the insert that comes with the implants stated many of the symptoms I had were possible side effects! It is like they are in complete denial, and downplay these very, very troubling health issues. I don't think that any of us would have gotten implants if we had known how severely we would suffer. I hope you are able to explant soon and get on the road to better health. Guest guest
, I'm so sorry about your struggles through your health care system there! I wish I knew how to make it easier for you. It's insult added to injury when the doctors are very unsympathetic, like yours was. , what kind of detoxing have you done? Guest guest
Ah, ! The detox footpads are not very useful actually. There are many, many things you can do to help your body purge itself of toxins and rebuild a healthy immune system. You may want to start slowly and build up to more intense therapies. You can start with diet, and go through your cupboards and eliminate all foods with hydrogenated oils, high fructose corn syrup, and sugars. Try to eat a diet of plant foods and clean proteins, which will lighten the load on your kidneys. You can do a kidney cleanse, a liver flush, a fast, enemas, coffee enemas, parasite cleanse, juice fast, raw foods diet, drink lots of pure water to flush your body, exercise to get the lymph flowing, infrared sauna or heat therapy to make you sweat out toxins. There is so much, but I would suggest reading a book like Dr. Weil's older best seller " 8 Weeks to Optimum Health " . It is a week by week program that will show you new ways to make yourself healthy each week. It's a start. It's not comprehensive. But it will make getting on a detox program and changing your diet much simpler, with good guidelines. I find that detoxification is essential in my life. My two favorite ways of detoxing are fasting and coffee enemas. Simple. Cheap. Done at home. Effective. Can't ask for much more than that. Fasting is very effective in removing toxins, and you can do a juice fast, or raw food fast if you don't want to give up food completely. I had very, very obvious and outstanding results with all of my fasts, which were water only for between 3 and 10 days. But supervision will be necessary if you've never done it before. There are several good books available on fasting. Kopera has healed herself of illness by fasting and the use of herbs. There are many ways to help yourself...choose to start a new therapy or something to do each week that will help you reach your goals of better health. It may entail some reading and research, but you can do it! Please ask if you need more answers to your questions. Check out the Frequently Asked Question section in the files, for a list of detoxing ideas. Sending hugs, and wishes for healing, Patty > > > > > > > > > From: <erinbarber91> > > > Subject: saline breast implants could they be making me sick? > > > > > > Date: Saturday, 15 May, 2010, 18:09 > > > > > > > > >  > > > > > > Hi, my name is .
