Guest guest
Personally I don't know if your product is legal or not. Jody will likely respond. Here is the rating of toxicity for one of the ingrediants, sodium metabisulfite . http://www.scorecard.org/chemical-profiles/summary.tcl? edf_substance_id=7681-57-4 Elaine did her best to identify and certify a number of SCD compliant readily available products, mainly juices. Time did not allow her to inspect the very many products people request to be approved or to know reasons they are not. Since there are probably one thousand legal recipes in various places, please excuse me for not being compelled to wish there were many more commercial products that would be OK. I doubt therer will ever be time or person power to get assurance and analysis from the all producers of all the products people have thought may be legal.. I stick to what I know with the exception of a local organic tomato juice which I actually brought to Elaine as it was less salty than Heinz and tasted much better. The distributor explained how it is processed and it meets SCD standards. If you are compelled to do this it will require an actually posted (not email or fax) statement on ingredients, the manufacturing process and any undisclosed ingredients (2% do not have to be disclosed on the label). if you still are not satisfied and wish to use the item it is at your own discretion and your own risk. A tiny amount of an illegal can have an effect. Carol F.
