Guest guest
Good Morning and Happy Mothers Day, My Hubby (Rick) always knows just how to make me smile. (You have to get to the end to read the smiley part) I'm 46 yrs old and have always wanted kids. I was pregnant only once and it was Tubal. I went through three husbnds trying to have kids (a really long story) and never did. I cried more tears over this than I can ever tell. Then a little over four years ago I met Rick. We got married a year and a half later. He has three very wonderful kids. His children are all in college now but we have an awsome relationship. They don't put much thought into cards and such. Rick was afraid that my feelings would be hurt because they didn't send me a Mothers Day card. I know they love me, but sometimes it can hurt a little when they forget the small things. Anyway, we (Rick and I) were watching a video last night and right at midnight he paused the movie and came over and gave me a big kiss and wished me Happy Mothers day. Talk about the small things! Then when I got up this morning I had a card from each of our pets and one from him. That gave me a total of five cards. I never dreamed I would get to celebrate Mothers Day. Rick is so thoughtful and sweet. His surgery date is this wed. the 17th. Please say a prayer for him. He is the LOVE of my life. Guest guest
Janet, You give Rick a big hug from me, I knew he had to be special to be your husband. My husband is the same way there was cards from everyone when I woke up. you know Janet when your in college you have rain freezes on that kind of stuff, I could barely afford to buy my Mom a card in college. My parents were so discouraged after all my older siblings dropped out of college that when it was my turn they said pay for it yourself. IM the middle child and it has always been that way. The all eventually went back to school.lol But I went to school during the day and went to cosmetology school at night so I could afford to go to school. I worked double shift on the weekend waiting tables. I look back and I think how did I do that. I still had a great life and a lot of fun! Sorry getting off track I love you Janet your are a really like you! Trisha Lanman praying Dr. R. will help me to the other side soon!!! Guest guest
Janet: Sounds like you have a KEEPER there. Those little things sometimes are really huge aren't they. Rick sounds real sweet. Will be saying a special prayer for the both of you, and on both your days will be saying a special one for each of you. Next month my hubby and I will celebrate our 32nd anniversary and all those little things is what helps keeps it going strong. God Bless You Both! {{{{{HUGS}}}}} in Michigan
Guest guest
Janet, What a wonderful and touching story you shared! It helped put some things in perspective for me. I seem to stay mad at my husband all the time lately. I know it's the stress of the upcoming surgery; I know he'll be glad when it's over so I can leave him a backside to sit on!! Have a wonderful day and know that Rick is in our thoughts and prayers; and you are too!! > Good Morning and Happy Mothers Day, > > My Hubby (Rick) always knows just how to make me smile.
