Guest guest
Hello everyone, I was just explanted on Wednesday, 4/21, by Dr. Feng. The surgery went well, even with my many chemical sensitivities and drug allergies. Thanks to all of you for just being here. I have been encouraged by your stories. Dr. Feng and her staff have been wonderful -- at this point in the game I would say this is simply the best medical care I have ever experienced. To those who are considering this surgery: Do not hesitate to find the best plastic surgeon who believes in you and who is open-minded about the symptoms you are experiencing, who takes the capsule and any suspicious tissue out along with the implants. In my surgery, Dr. Feng removed " more scar tissue than she sees on most with textured saline implants. " My body's constant state of heightened immunity to these foreign bodies for 11 years would explain why I have been suffering so much. My problems have included: * migraines that lasted for months at a time * very short complex partial seizures (or subclinical seizure disorder) (both migraines and " seizures " began within 2 months of implantation) * myoclonic jerks (at night in sleep) * restless legs syndrome * Hashimoto's thyoid disease with nodules on the thyroid * tingling fingers and toes * vertigo * balance problems and distortions of perception * mini blackouts * fatigue * complicated pregnancy/labor/delivery due to the new thyroid issue * weight gain due to the medications to control my symptoms * anxiety due to my symptoms, mild depression when I felt incapable of functioning and no doctor would take me seriously!! * susceptibility to fungus and mold * multiple drug allergies * iritis/uveitis of both eyes * positive ANA * joint pain - neck, low back, knees, ankles; carpal tunnel in both wrists, tendonitis in wrists, elbows, and ankles * elevated Sarcoidosis marker (ACE) in blood * anemia * restless legs syndrome * GERD * a recent diagnosis of UCTD, or Undifferentiated Connective Tissue Disorder with features of lupus * recently, as the left implant deflated over a period of a few months, I began to experience some of the above symptoms in a heightened manner, with the added problem of: * severe difficulty speaking and finding words until I was put on an anticonvulsant * memory problems * the short " seizure " episodes returned after they had been in some sort of remission * more migraines -- with the speech and memory disturbances added to it, I thought I was having mini-strokes * unusual chemical sensitivities/reactions/allergies to medications for the migraines, joint pain, and " seizures " For those who read my previous post, your encouragement to have my implants analyzed by a lab was appreciated. I asked to have that done, and I still await the results. It will be a bit of a journey back to health for me, even moreso as I begin to pay attention to other health issues I had been neglecting while I chased many cats up many trees just trying to get doctors to take my implant-related symptoms seriously. I know some of you have been there too, and it is nice to have you to lean on. You're all wonderful, strong, and heroic. You are all loved,
