Guest guest
Hi Darlene- The person who told me that has been my best friend since kindergarten. And that was 32 years ago. She just lost her mom too and I think she was concerned that something would happen to me. My sister has not been happy about the idea either. When I was denied the first time she said " well, it's all for the best. " My husband was not happy about it either at first. He thought I was going through an internet obsession. Last year I found a Chihuahua site and then there was no stopping me until I got one. So I guess he though I was going through a phase until I had him convinced otherwise. In fact there has really been no one that has said " go for it! " to me. I guess that is why I am reluctant to tell anyone. My sister-in-law has been the best so far --she said she certainly understood why I would want one. (in a nice way) Jackie in DE
Guest guest
Jackie, Just curious, you told me you were from Baltimore, but now live in Delaware. I don't know who asked you " if you have given the traditional methods of wt loss your all " , but is this someone who has seen you go through all that I am sure you must have to get to this point? I was very fortunate, when I told my family of my interest they all wanted me to " go for it " . My sister said, " I know you and how you are. I know how hard you tried all those other things and I am glad for you. She has offered to write my letter of family support. I will tell my father and brothers this week. I also remember you saying that your parents were watching over you. My mother has also passed to the other side ( different other side) and I too feel her presence. I was getting ready to go to my PCP to get his approval on Monday, when a toy (my grandbaby's) started playing music for no apparent reason. My husband asked, " What made that happen? " I told him it was Mom, he said then I'm going with you. I told him he didn't need to because she was going with me. I got my PCP approval. Best of luck, I have also heard be careful what you pray for you just may get it. I told my daughter that someone had changed their mind at the end, she said we aren't going to let you do that. I know you, and you wouldn't do that. She's probably right. I might feel like it but wouldn't have the guts to do it. Darlene
