Guest guest
Hi ! A place for more vaccine info is at www.909shot.com . You can also look on the CDC website for an opposite opinion. Vaccinations are a personal decision, but one you should make being totally informed of pros and cons. My ASD daughter did not receive her MMR booster because I believe the MMR was what put her over the top to begin with at 15 months. My youngest daughter (NT) has had no MMR shots, but I will probably give her just the rubella vaccine when she is 12 or so. This is only because of pregnancy when she gets older. Of course when it gets right down to it, I know too much and may even have a problem with that! Time will tell. As far as milk goes, milk gets a lot of negative reports regardless of the GFCF diet. If you have 1 child not drinking cow's milk it may be easier for you to have both children not drink cow's milk. My youngest was just a baby too when we started the diet so she has never known anything different but the GFCF diet. Cara > Hi, > I'm new to the diet (one week so far) and it's going pretty well so > far. My 3 1/2 son was diagnosed with PDD-NOS and in the past week I can > already see little changes in him - more talking and eye contact. I > also have a 6 month old little girl. My question is about the vaccines. > What should I know about giving shots to her? And should I avoid giving > her cow's milk at 12 months (she's totally breastfed now)? Guest guest
For those interested in a safer vaccination schedule, please read Cave's book on vaccinations. She is a physician (MD) and she is a DAN! doctor. No one on this list is qualified to give advice on when or whether to vaccinate a child. Guest guest
Emma, I wasn't upset with you. I just want to make sure that we don't start a lengthy discussion on vaccines on this list. I feel that vaccination issues fall into a realm that we cannot oversee on the list. There are other lists where the pros and cons of vaccinating are discussed and debated. Those would be a better place to discuss the vaccination issue. Jody mom to -6 and -9 SCD 31 months
