There is a photo section where you can see some photos, then for photos

of actual people, look at the bottom of this note, and you will see shutterfly

and the password is implants. There are lots of pixs there of people

as they went thru the healing process right after explant !

You will do well with the surgery, and you will begin a new life and will

feel good again !

Anyone know of any pics that I could check out? Im not having a lift as I cant afford one. We had to get a loan to pay for explant and we are already neck deep in medical bills. Yes my dr is taking them out and the capsule and sending all to pathology in which he said that I would get a copy of the report.

I am glad you got to see the pixs.....those doctors are useing

intimidation to get people talked into more implants.......and

you know, Implants rarely cause only 2 surgeries, but they tell

you otherwise. It is usually multiple surgeries, and only 2 surgeries

is what is rare.....

thank you. What can I expect recovery wise? My dr says the pain is going to be moderate and prob more painful than getting implants because he is going to repair the muscle. My saline implants are under the muscle. So Im nervous because my husbands mom will be here for the day of surgery and for 4 days after. She is 95 and cant do anything for herself except give everyone a hard time. So I have a feeling hubby is going to have a hard time. Dr told me I cant lift anything for weeks!!! Just wondering how your recovery was.

With a very good plastic surgeon who cares about performing a good procedure

with an aesthetic outcome, you can look great! I had 500cc implants, and I had

saggy breasts from breastfeeding before implants, and I did have a lift at

explant.

But I have known women who have not gotten a lift at explant and are happy with

their breasts as well. For many women, over the time period that they had

implants, the breasts filled out with more tissue and they were actually larger

than before. Some women are lucky that way. The silicone is actually estrogenic

in nature chemically, and that may be a reason why. But not all women experience

this.

Yours will be unique to you, but as I said, alot depends on your surgeon and how

skilled he/she is.

I think your recovery will be easier than implantation, if your experience is

like mine. I was a waitress at the time of my explant, and took about 2 weeks

off. I went back to waitressing after explant, with no problem. I carried big

trays and everything, but yes, you need to be careful and avoid heavy lifting if

your doctor tells you to. My implants were under the muscle, and I had a lift,

but I still healed really fast.

You will know what you are capable of doing, by listening to your body and

giving it tender loving care. I know that this is a stressful time, but do what

you can to focus on pleasant thoughts. Positive thinking really does go a long

way. It does not sound like such a great idea to have your husband's mom

there!!! Your poor man is going to be working his tail end off...I'm so sorry!

Is there any way that her visit can be delayed?

nope his sister already has her tickets for her vacation we just found out about it last week and I have already paid for and scheduled my explant. She totally hates me so i will be locked up in the bedroom for my recovery. he will be on his own with taking care of her. im just hoping I can pretty much take care of myself.

The plastic surgeon's all said that I would not be happy with my self after removal, However; unlike plastic surgeons, my doctor (regurlar surgeon) told me that after the surgery initially it may not look good, but she said over time it will look normal again. Our body is amazing, it will readjust. Just give it some time. Also, after the surgery it is how well you take care of yourself that matters most. You want to take good care for proper healing and also maintain the proper care so that you can be healthy again. After all that's more important. You can begin to really care and love yourself. I know that I got the implant because of vanity and insecurity in me, but now I can let go of it with the explant and truely

accept my self and be satisfied and really begin to enjoy life as is. I find that if we can change our perspective we can be happy and satisfied. Everything will work out and people will love you the way you are even without your implant if you love yourself... don't worry...be happy!

Hey Patty,

You will feel very liberated once those ticking time bombs are removed from your

chest!

I am sure that you will be able to return to work someday. We have had dozens

upon dozens of women go back to work and get married and have babies and go to

school, and just live a normal life again!

Please do one thing though....be very, very patient. Getting the implants out

will not change your life overnight, in terms of health recovery. It will take

many many months of allowing the immune system to find it's way back to a new

normal. Once it has been activated against self, or is dysfunctional in any

way, it takes time for those cells to be re-programmed.

Some women make the mistake of getting too impatient to feel better. That was my

mistake. I had been told by other women who didn't really know the whole

healing process that since my implants were saline and I had them only 9 months

that I would get better right away. WRONG!!! It actually made me more anxious

in the end, because I kept thinking to myself, " Why am I not getting better??? "

and I would panic and get stressed out and it was just not a fun time in my

life. Very dark.

So, eventually, through faith and seeking out women who were actually getting

better and finding out what they were doing, I was able to calm down and just

trust God to guide me to better health. It was a significant step in the right

direction. That is why I started this group also. I wanted women to be

empowered to find their answers for healing together, and without all of the

baloney the doctors were spewing at us. Doctors have done more to confuse this

issue than anyone else! I've heard so many lies from them, it makes me sad and

angry at the same time.

But we've learned and we've shared and you will benefit from that now!

Trust that your health is coming...just be patient, work hard at learning how to

listen to your body and apply good, natural healing principles. Avoid additional

toxic burden to your body, detox, and it will repay you with better health over

the years to come.

We've seen it happen many times.

Ah! OK...so maybe can you find a friend to come over and hang out with you

during your recovery?

I would suggest that you take a look at our explant file, and there will be a

list there of things to have by your bedside, foods to have available, just

stuff to make your recovery much easier. It is primarily a list for women who

have to travel for explant, and for what to bring in the hotel room. But it

works for at home too!

Stress during your recovery period is not going to be good, so do what you can

to make it go away as best you can!

Good music, uplifting friends, fun TV and movies, positive thoughts...hang onto

those!
