Guest guest
Just been catching up on my mail. Just listening to the new post-ops gave me a good feeling, and I just want to congratulate each and every one of you. I am proud of each and every one of you, even though I know not a one. I feel that your success is my success in a way. Without everyone out there, I don't think any of this would ever become a reality for me. Special thanks to Pat Eppler who gave me a good pep talk and got me moving to find a new pcp. And guess what...from not finding a doctor to help, now I have two who are willing to do my pre-op and post-op. Your prayers worked...this is a wonderful group. I sat down and talked to my husband today. With us on different shifts, I felt this was not something that should be discussed on the telephone. He didn't have a lot to say, I think he is still in shock. He never thought it would happen either. He's fine with me borrowing from the 401K if the insurance doesn't come through (should know next week). We both decided that it would be best if I make the trip by myself. We have had some problems here that necessitate one of us being home at least part of the day. Anyway, if anyone is going to be there for the May 23 clinic, I am scheduled for that. Surgery has not been scheduled yet, but Barb said there should be no problem fitting me in the 24, 25, or 26. I think I will be staying at the Duke Towers. How far is it from the airport and the hospital. Is clinic at the hospital? Feel free to email me direct. punkinelainetom@... (Punkin is the name of my red persian cat, who is the reason one of us needs to be home part of the day. That's a story for another day). God's blessing on each and every one of you.
