My son has been SCD since 2/05 for intestinal yeast and severe D 8-10 per day.

I eat many of the things he does but have not made the commitment to go 100%.

I know that I have intestinal yeast as well (learned this when I tried Atkins 2

times and both times day 3 came and I was very sick and quickly fed my yeast to

get them happy again. I did not know at the time why I was sick but know that I

know aboout die-off, I'm sure that is what it was.) I also have some bowels

issues with bm's 3-6 times per day ( I just thought this was normal for everyone

until I learned about SCD.) I did have a colonoscopy (which was normal) due to

a high family history of colon cancer (in all my great grandparents) and my dad

has ulcerative colitis and is being treated for dysplasia (pre-cancer).

I know with these issuse SCD would help me with my bowel issues, and I think it

could help me loose weight too???? I have had 2 wonderful children in the last

3 years and kept all the weight on (and still going.)

Has anyone else used SCD for this purpose? Or got this result after starting?

I recevied an email from the yeast connection on " is your yeast making you fat "

( or something like that). I am a HUGE sugar addict. I tried to watch the

sugar I ate today and made it until 11:30 before I began to feel bad (light

headed and shaky) and gave in. I would hope that he diet could help me starve

out my yeast and in effect decrease to urge to eat sugar resulting in weight

loss.

Sorry for the long message and the life history. And thanks for you help

inadvance!!!
