Excessive thirst, is this detox, die-off?

Hi

I've been SCD for 12 days now, and I've experienced excessive thirst

from day one. I have always been one to force myself to drink, but

now I can't get enough water. I am on SCD for eczema, asthma, and

allergies, and I'm shocked at how well my skin is doing, as well as my

sinuses. It's like the moisture if finally getting to my skin, as the

flakiness and itching is drastically reduced. The problem is that I

wake up every night with incredible thirst and a pounding heart and

have a hard time getting back to sleep even if I drink a ton of water.

Has anyone else experienced this? I am taking some inhaled steroids

(Advair) and have been a chronic steroid user my whole life (mostly

inhaled and topical, not oral since I was a kid)

My pounding heart rate seems to be there all day, too. Although it

gets better at times.

Hi Sue,

Yes, some have reported extreme thirst at the beginning of the diet.

I don't know if it will help in this case but some find that other

symptoms of die off are helped with epsom salt baths and/or

activated charcoal.
