Guest guest
Daryjean, I know what you mean on the sweets! It’s very hard not to eat even a little. Does anyone know of a good cook book on how to make veggies taste better, spice them up you know!?! If I could find awesome sauces to put over them that would help a lot in eating more! Also, this is a huge question and I would love an answer if anyone knows. Is there any gluten free pasta out there? Is that even possible? From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of daryljean99 Sent: Thursday, April 15, 2010 1:11 PM Subject: looking for advice about nutrition and sugar Hi girls...I'm from Las Vegas just like Patty-I haven't been on the group in awhile but I met Patty 7 yrs. ago when I felt like I was losing my mind. My body was falling apart and my memory was fading. Thanks to Patty's help, I had my saline implants out 4 yrs. ago and am still working on being pain free. I have been on pain med's for Fibromyalgia for 9 yrs. on and off. Sometimes it works better than others. I wonder if the fatigue is from my body or the meds. When I can stay away from anything white-sugar, bread, pasta,-I feel so much better. It's the cravings that are driving me crazy....I get so un-pleasant to be around it's like I'm coming off of herion or something. My body just ACHES for sugar....of course, it's everywhere-I have 2 small kids and you know how sweets are a part of every get together. Not to mention church functions-it's like sweets = fun and social events. Let me know if any of you have had anything happen like this- I'm so grateful to have this group-Thank you Patty!!! Guest guest
I think there IS gluten free pasta....just do a search.... I eat tons of veges.......and one of my fav ways is to cut up a bunch, and put some zesty italian dressing on it and let it soak in it in the frig. I do it to taste.......I dont use alot, cuz I like the flavor's of all the stuff I put in... I also put black pepper in there and alittle garlic salt. It is crunchy and very delish ! This batch, I put: sweet onion cucumber cauliflower broccoli zuchinni fresh frozen peas asparagus about 5 black olives 2 large green olives If I had kidney beans, I would rinse them and put those in too If I had red bell pepper, I would put some of that in too.... sometimes I put in tomatoe, loveit, but it gets mushy so I put it in fresh I eat cottage cheese with organic cold pressed flax oil blended well every day, and sometimes I add a few teaspoons of the raw vege mix to that, and it gives it a different twist... Hope you try this, its really good ! Guest guest
I had to be off sweets for a long time and I still don't eat very much. I feel better when I don't. Sugar is only 1 molecule away from heroin or cocaine, I forget which. That is not a whole lot of different. Have you tried finding out about candida? There is one product that is really helping me out with the candida. I have been constipated most of my life and since I've been on Protandim that subject is getting better all the time. I believe it is helping with the candida. I certainly feel better. The product helps the body to produce enzymes. The SOD and catalaise enzymes are anti-aging enzymes and they consume 1 million free radicals per second. Yes, per second. So each cell is doing this. After about a month, your TBARS are that of about a 20 year old. Well, if it consumes that much free radicals, wouldn't yeast be a free radical? I'm assuming here. If your body starts working for you instead of against you wouldn't you feel better? I have had terrible allergies and already on the product for 2 weeks I could mow the lawn on our riding mower. This would make me sick before and I was dependent upon friends and relatives to help me keep down the weeds on our 5 acres. Does this make sense? When I heard about it I could not believe all the reports I was hearing from users. You can go to You Tube and find out more or go to www.lifevantage.com/advanz2health. There are some independent studies from medical universities and 3 videos about 7-9 minutes long. Great information. Oh, by the way, it is all natural. Very scientific though. In the making for 40 years. Veggies taste really good with a natural salt. You usually don't need anything other than the good salt. Real Salt is a brand that I like. I get it at a health food store or Whole Foods. There are gluten free pasta and products out there. They are in the health food sections of grocery stores or in a health food store. Hope this helps. > > Daryjean, > I know what you mean on the sweets! It's very hard not to eat even a little. Guest guest
Gluten free pasta is definitely available and I can even buy it in my regular grocery store here in the West. You would look for brown rice pasta, or corn pasta, or any other grain. Usually there will be a section for gluten free stuff in the larger stores. Health food stores carry gluten free pastas and other items for the gluten intolerant. Beyond that, there are many websites that sell every kind of gluten free thing you can imagine! Just do a search. Patty > > Daryjean, > I know what you mean on the sweets! It's very hard not to eat even a little.
