Hi ; I have a number of tapes on qigong, one is the soaring crane tech, that my accupuncture instructor was teaching us. I have a number from Luke chan on chi lel qigong, and 3 on tai chi. We have a few people around here that teach tai chi. I've taken many classes. My problem is that after the class no one else wants to get back together to practice all the time.

I find I just can't do it by myself. And none of my friends see any benefit in these exercises. They would rather go bike riding or snowmobiling. My mother says she tried it but doesn't understand how it could do anything for you. she'd rather go square dancing.

I also tend to shy away from anything that is labeled "womens". It feels like I'm not invited.

But thanks anyway. Klaus

Hi Klaus,

I believe that Qi Gong is playing an important part in my healing from cancer. It is always best to study with a Qi Gong master or learn from a Qi Gong group.

There is a woman who has put together an interesting video on Qi Gong that is simple to learn. It is an alternative if there is not a group or Qi Gong master in your area.

Her name is Deborah and her website is at:

http://womensqigong.com/products.html

Hope that helps.

Hi Klaus,

Thanks for the response. I am glad to hear that you practice qi

gong/taichi. I started 2 years ago and really didn't see any big

changes except that it was a wonderful way to start the day. However

just a few weeks ago I began to finish my Qi Gong with several

minutes in the " Standing Like a Tree " position and visualizing Qi

surrounding my tumor. Since then I feel very warm sensations

throughout the day in that area. Almost like heat is being emitted.

I am not sure what it really means, but I feel that Qi Gong is

starting to work. Even so, the wonderful benefits of Qi Gong for me

are a reason to get out of the house at 7 a.m and practice the slow

moving, energizing exercises in the fresh air surrounded by trees and

plants.

Yes, it is rather odd that Deborah has her website URL as

womensgigong.com However, I have been in touch with her and she

seems quite helpful.

Stay with your practice Klaus.

,

I am glad you brought that article up because it is so true...I went to

not one, not two, not even three docs, I was evaluated by over 6 docs and

had given up really if it had not been for my Mom I would not have found a

top doc and slowly regaining my life again! I had mysterious infections

that would just show up in my blood streams, wierd yet horrible aches and

pains in my neck and my feet, not the usual lower back pain that an

overweight person experiences, it never was the bottom of my foot it was

the top. None of these issues never got addressed. They just worked

around them and got me out the door as quickly as possible. If we don't

fight for ourselves no one else will and the HORRIBLE IRONY is, is that if

you are suffering from subtle or severe hypothyroidism you won't even have

the energy to fight them so if you do have the energy then by all means do

what you have to do to get the proper treatment. I didn't get angry at

our health care system until I was on the other side (meaning receiving

proper medication.) Ok I said my peace.

Thanks,

T.

Hi !

I'm so glad to hear your mom kept pulling for you to get well! Even if it meant you had to go to six different docs until you found one who tuned in to what you need! I think it's important to keep remembering, even when we feel unwell, that the best advocate for regaining our excellent health is US. That's hard to do when everyone, especially the doctor you've given your trust to, is telling you there's nothing wrong with you or you'll just have to live with being tired or depressed or cold, or your hair falling out. It took me thirty years to become convinced enough that there WAS something wrong with me and I NEEDED to find a doctor who would help me get well no matter what my symptoms were! I hope that no one else here has to wait that long for good treatment for hypothyroidism! Hopefully, with the support from this list we can each find the kind of medical help we need.

To our good health!

At least I have someone to talk to. Hi ,I just got my weekly newsletter from Shomon on Thyroid.About.com. Her lead article is about knowing when to get a second opinion. The article is an interview w/ the Dr.s Shames and how they feel hypothyroidism is overlooked as an underlying cause of or contributor to depression. Because of the wide variety of symptoms, the Shames think a lot of docs assume anyone complaining of SO many symptoms must just be depressed or hypochondriac, hence they don't take their patient seriously. The Shames offer suggestions and encouragement for people who feel their docs don't really hear them, rely too much on blood tests, or ignore their other symptoms. Here's the link to the full test of the article:http://thyroid.about.com/library/weekly/aa040402a.htmI hope you're doing well and are getting the proper help and the proper medicine you need. in LA

,

If your doctor fails to give you a copy of your medical records upon

your signing a release, mention " MY LAWYER " . It is ILLEGAL for them

not to give you your medical records! They can charge you a certain

amount for them (I believe 75 cents a page), but they cannot withhold

them.

Also, when you get lab results, you can request that a copy of the

lab results be sent to you as well as to your doctor. That also is

your LEGAL RIGHT!!!

Any doctor who does not want to give you a copy of your medical

records is hiding that they are treating you poorly--get a new doctor

and get your medical records (I switched doctor's from one who would

never let me see my records. That doctor forwarded all of my records

to me and to my new doctor). I now have a copy of my med. records at

home so that I can review all of my results/tests/visits.

Good Luck!

I agree--we all have a right to a place here---I also appreciate Jeannine's insights (and we have a right to hear them)--if it upsets you to read what people are saying, then delete their messages without even reading them (so much better for your health) --but please let's not bash and judge each other in the group---and Michele, I don't believe doctors need anyone to stick up for them....

You sound like you are getting way way too stressed out over this. That can't be healthy to your recovery! Not everyone is going to agree with you. You need to STOP beating up Jeanine. I have found her insight and information to be extremely useful. I think there is a place for all of us here. You will just need to ignore her or leave.

I for one agree with . I think in the past month or so, certain people have gotten on a soap box (and there have been more than one) and refused to respect the choices that others have made. I don't think is saying anyone should not share what works or does not work for them...I love to hear both the success stories and what hasn't been so successful. This helps me to choose what path I wish to go down.....BUT I expect that path to be respected. I do not see a whole lot of respect from those that choose to believe their way is the only "informed" one. I doubt that you will see me posting much if at all in the future on this list. And I had such high hopes. It was recommended to me by Claudine (whom I know from several other lists & forums)....but all I see here is negativity and to be absolutely blunt - I don't need that. So good luck and...

I agree with Michele, Marilyn and the rest. I came hear for information and sharing and frankly from the begining I was anoyed by the ranting and raving of Janine and her eveident support of this site master. I personally think that see is a complete whack job. Her ravings as of late are frankly scary. She even listed Iridology as one her means of knowing the virus has cleared. you have got to be kidding that is a field of complete quackery. I am outta here and on to a site where there is more productive talk and people who help more. Regretfully there are some people on this site that are very good people with great opinions and knowledge but I can't log on every night to listen to the ranting and raving of lunatics. I wish evertone the best of luck and may we all find a cure for this dreaded diesease.

There is too much crap going on in this list, and I don't have the time. I am not leaving, but I WILL ignore some specific people's posts from now on. In my humble view, they are not being constructive, just vindictive--if anyone disagrees with their views they don't STOP with the putdowns. For myself, I don't care what they say--alternatives have been working well for me, so I will stay with what I'm doing, (and I'm doing great)--anyone who wants to choose another path has every right to do so. We each have our own bodies which we are responsible for, and no one else's (unless supervising children and the elderly in one's care). I agree with whoever said that all this getting upset is bad for the Hep c condition--so as I said before, I'm not letting any of it get to me. I'm just here to make the suggestion that we can all choose to use the delete button.........Oh, and one more thing---all you uptight people--why don't you purchase a hand drum and use it!.....(I'm battening down the hatches---I'm sure I'll REALLY be berated for that one! Help!) :) ..... much health to ALL of you, Satya

Hello Sweetie,

Can you believe it look and see what is posted now with the magic water. I won't post anymore however it is really import for me to monitor always. I will eventually be able to disclose those Quacks. We know that Jannine is making money did you see what a girl name Jane posted.

That's a really good question. I know I fight anemia often. He tends to avoid

meat when he can but does eat a lot of dark green leafy vegetables. I will

mention it to the doctor and maybe get his blood tested.

I don't remember this first message, but I often have trouble getting

my breath because I have an irregular heartbeat, a heart murmur, and

mitral valve pro-lapse. While all three conditions are so slight as

to be almost non-existant, still, together, I can sometimes struggle

to catch a breath. Usually I'm extremely stressed or tired, or I've

had too much caffeine or sugar. Just something else for you to worry

about! :)

Dr. Flanagan has formulated Microhydrin, Active H, Megahydrin,

Mega H, and this new one Megahydrate. All use silica hydride.

I can attest to all as being fantastic products! They seem to cure

whatever ails you! I completely got rid of bad breath, body odor, stiff

joints, my skin looks great, I have more energy, and I never get ill!

The products are pricey, the theraputic dosage is 8 caps a day, but

maintainence can be as low as two a day. I love this stuff and would

never be without it. Take the theraputic dose for at least a week, and

you will definitely notice something has improved in your body.

There is also a liquid product he formulated called Crystal Energy,

which reduced the surface tension of water. I still use it. Water is

smoother and really quenches you thirst, and the CE is tasteless. I

love this stuff too, but it sounds to me that Megahydrate is a combo

that can break down the water in the body along with the antioxidant

power of silica hydride. I'll be ordering it too!

Here is how it works and how to make similar things cheaply.

http://www.h-minus-ion.org/

But, and I quote from the site

There are some competing products on the market which claim to be

successful imitators of MegaHydrinâ„¢ , and which claim to also

contain " silica hydride " and the elusive H-minus ion, but this author

and other researchers of his acquaintance have not seen any

convincing evidence of silica hydride in any of these competing

products yet tested. interestingly, non has beenwilling to subject

their products to NMR analysis by an independent laboratory to

qualify and quantify the presence of the hydride ion. It appears

that getting silica to hold the hydride ion in a stable form for

later release when exposed to water is an extremely delicate and

tricky task, and it appears that no one other than Flanagan

has yet mastered this technique. It is rather widely known in the

world of clustered water research that researchers in Japan and other

countries are rather desperately trying to find ways of storing the

negative hyrdogen ion in silica or other substances in order to make

it bioavailable, if only for the tremendous financial incentive

inherent in being able to market such a product to health-minded

consumers.

Hey ,

I just wanted to say thank you so much for your humor and your comments ~ the

sound you more likley heard was the sigh from all of us knowing we'll be missing

your wit support for awhile!

That said, hope you have a WONDERFUL vacation...

In Northern Idaho today, it was 45', very windy, and raining ~ but at least it

isn't snowing ~ YET...

Hi ,

Thanks for your comments. We had a great time simply because our nine year

old son had a ball. The place was frozen but we were expecting that.

Hope that snow stays away for a while in Idaho.

Take care,

.
