I'm not trying to nag, just to have us all realize that people are people whether or not they went to medical/nursing school. Love, Liz >> Good for you Liz! There is an unbelievable difference in treatment of the obese in healthcare....and entertaiment......and..... It's even worse for women(sorry guys) I chuckle to myself when we have a 260 lb female the guys grunt and sweat when lifting the cot and say " she was a big one " ,but you get a 300 lb guy and my partners act like they're bench pressing.....he's considered " manly " . Even my everloving hubby came home and complained about anesthetizing an overweight woman(she was a difficult intubation, and IV start)I asked how much she weighed and he said 250. I said that's the first time I've heard you c/o a person's weight...she only weighs 20 lbs. more than me. And he's one of the most non-judgemental people I know! I just work harder for the obese now, because I know what it's like! Osler
