We are new to the diet (just over 2 weeks) and my son cannot tolerate fruit

juices or honey at this time. I gave him chamomile tea (caffeine free, nothing

else added) and he now asks for it. Is chamomile an accepted herb at the early

stage of this diet?

Thanks,

Ordinary black tea is legal but should be made weak.

Instant tea,Ojibwa tea (Essiac), many herbal teas, teas made from bark etc are

full of

polysaccharides and are illegal. Peppermint and spearmint herb teas are legal,

and you can

make a tea from ginger which is also legal.

Resrict the use of herb teas to peppermint and spearmint (from BTVC)
