Guest guest
Tom- I am so glad to see that you are doing so well. It really calms any fears that I have when I see post-ops like you and . Question: How long before you were able to drive? I am trying to figure out if I am going to be able to drive from land, where my sis-in-law is, back home to DE. Am I going to be up for that if I have my operation on a Wednesday and am discharged on Thursday. Will I be up for driving Thursday night? Also are you cutting your juices with water, as recommended, or are you okay with them the way they are? Input from any post-ops would be appreciated Take care and glad to hear you are doing so well. Guest guest
Genz: Hey. My surgery was 4-19-00. I was 313lbs while in the hospital. I was 298 on Saturday April 29, 2000 in Dr. R's office. I have not weight since then (I only want to weight every two weeks but I can feel the difference). I've move my belt in an inch, My pants are getting baggy, I just feel different. People are telling me, " hey are you on a diet, you're losing weight I see. " My days seem to have gotten longer. I have so much more energy to do things and get more done now. I've been doing the grape and V8 juice routine daily. I keep a bottle of Gatorade on me all the time ( work, truck, bowling etc.) I cut my lawn two days after surgery and felt fine. I have not had any problems. The only major problem was in the hospital and that was fixed there. ( I could not pass fuilds and you know what happens there). I've has no pain other than gas. I walk everyday. I take steps when possible. I bowl twice a week. I am not taking meds other than a maintenance drug that I must have due to an genetic problem. I stopped taking my depression, my HBP, my allergy meds. I am taking the meds that Dr' R requires. I eat yogurt for breakfast with about three oz of V8 juice. I eat crackers through out the day. I try to drink soup for lunch and mashed potatoes for dinner. I ate a grilled cheese sandwich last night without the crust and had no problems. Guest guest
Tom, I am just amazed at the activity level you are already at. Losing 15 lbs in 10 days is fantastic. Do you plan on staying with fairly bland foods for a while? I'm glad the grilled cheese set well. I can't get over how the majority of the post-ops are bouncing back. Please keep me posted on how you are doing. Thanks, Genz " Clements, " wrote: > Genz: > > Hey. > > My surgery was 4-19-00. I was 313lbs while in the hospital.
