Guest guest
Hi My name is G., I am 53 years old. I have implants that I got in 2000.That's ten years ago. I hated them from day 1, I asked my Dr. for some fullest in my 36AA. I told him that I was a tennis player and that I did not want large implants, just fill out what I have. I woke up with D cup! I knew right away I made a mistake. He had measured my hips and felt the large implants would be best for me. It was the most painful thing I ever had to deal with. I was told that when the swelling when down I would love them. I had no choose but to accept my new body, knowing that my Dr. played god and I was left to deal with his bad situation. Once they healed, I had hard time finding blouses that would fit me.I looked like a freak. I started to gain weight, thinking it was better to be heavy so my bust would not be so noticed. I lost my fittiness level, I soon stop playing tennis because my body was aching so much. I started to become a recluse, embarrassed about my body. I went back to my Dr.and ask about removal of the implants. I was told that I will be very ugly without them and that he would replace the implants with smaller one, plus do plastic surgery for my eyelids. Well I left his office very confused. I got a bad boob job and now he wants to do more work on me. I am glad I did not go back to him. I am now looking to do the right thing and need to find a Dr. that will help me remove my implants without causing me more harm. I am having hot flashes all the time, my heart is racing and I had an irregular EKG. My skin has a weird disease. I feel aching all over. I live in New York. Please let know what I need to know about the surgery. Thanks and good health to us. G.
Guest guest
Hi , I'm sorry to hear that you haven't been happy with your implants for all these years and how they have affected your life. It sounds like now they are really affecting your health as well. To remove the implants, it should be done properly. That means they should be removed " en bloc " or with a " total Capsulectomy " . Either one of those procedures will result in the necessary removal of the scar capsule that forms around every implant in the body. Unfortunately, most doctors do not recognize the need for the total capsule removal. They simply cut you open, cut through the scar capsule, and yank out the implants. Then sew you back up. That residual scar tissue can cause problems further down the road, and that is why it is so important to get it removed at the time of explant. If you are in New York, then you are very close to one of the best plastic surgeons for explant in the world...she is Dr. Lu Feng in Cleveland Ohio. Can you travel? There are some doctors in New York, but we've heard from women who have gone to them and been told that they didn't need their implants removed by en bloc, or were treated with poorly. We want to save women from going through that trauma, but at the same time, we realize that not all women can travel for explant, and the decision is all theirs as to how they can accomplish their goals of getting better. We do have a folder in our files section on explant. If you review the contents of this folder, you will have all of the necessary information for getting a proper explant. If you still have questions, please feel free to ask! Explant surgery will be the beginning of your healing journey. Just as a cautionary note, I need to say that getting the implants out is not like pulling a bad tooth. If you have immune system issues going on, like most women sick from implants, it will take months and possibly years to feel better. It took me 4 years to get my health back after having implants for only 9 months. My immune system really suffered a serious setback. But these days, I live well, and I am thankful. It all began with a proper explant and I am grateful for the women that were there for me to help point the way to getting it all done right. If I had to simply trust the doctor who put them in, I would have been in a very bad place indeed! The list of doctors we have compiled over the years is in our files section as well...you will find some names of New York doctors. Please let us know of your experiences with them if you do go to see them. We are always on the lookout for more good doctors, and of course, want the scoop on any bad experiences as well. Wishing you healing! Patty > > Hi My name is G., I am 53 years old. I have implants that I got in 2000.That's ten years ago. I hated them from day 1, I asked my Dr. for some fullest in my 36AA.
