Guest guest
Dear , I am so glad to hear that your baby's fever is gone. Please let me know what you find out at the pediatrician's office. We went through a similar situation when was 4. I put her to bed for a nap and she seemed fine, a little tired and a low grade fever, but I gave her tylenol and thought everything would be ok. She woke up screaming about 2 hours later and when I took her temp it was 105. My husband, who didn't get to enjoy " rushing me " to the hospital when was born (I was already in because of pre-eclampsia) made up for it....We got to the hospital in record time with me holding because she was starting to convulse. The ER staff put her in an ice bath....and then sent for a lab tech to draw blood....talk about fun! I was terrified, all of 's veins had disappeared because of the ice and no one seemed to know what to do next....talk about frustrated! Finally they sent for an anesthesiologist to start an IV. It turned out that she had double pneumonia. Her lungs were so congested that they couldn't even get a reading with a stethescope so they rushed her to X-Ray to confirm the diagnosis. Her family doctor had told me for 3 weeks she just had a cold and had her on Dimetapp.....That was 14 years ago but I still remember how devastated and worried I was.....you have my sympathy. Kiss the baby for me and I hope everything continues to improve for you. By the way, what type work do you do? Also, would you mind giving me your private e-mail address? If there is a way to access it from somewhere else I am not computer savy enough to find it....LOL I'm trying to set up my address book with individual e-mail addresses so the whole group doesn't have to " wade " through messages that are to a specific person.
