Guest guest
it doesn't poison the nerves it just irritates them and lets you know something is wrong Also.... How does spinal fluid poison the nerves? That is just something I dont understand..if it's leaking, it gets into the nerves, that causes the nerve pain that my brother has had...I just cant wrap my brain around that kind of pain! Guest guest
Thanks for that post....great info! The very best whey protein I have found is offered by Dr. Mercola. This is the only whey protein I buy now. http://proteinpowder.mercola.com/Miracle-Whey-Protein.html Made from all-natural grass fed cows' whey, GMO free, pesticide free, so many good positives about this product I can't list them all! Guest guest
well dang patty now i'm just confused. LOL i was reading up on it and it sounded great and then it said about yours that you should choose concentrate NOT isolate and the article i read said bioactive isolate NOT concentrate. how in the world are we suppose to know exactly whats best when there is so much conflicting information? i drank a protein shake every morning for breakfast and after every workout before i started feeling really bad from the fibro. now i'm reading lifting weights, jogging, running, bicycling are no no's. then i read with the blood type diet that whey is something O blood type is suppose to avoid. so i thought maybe on top of the implants maybe that was one more thing i was doing bad for myself. i had also thought drinking soy milk instead of cow milk was a good alternative too and then i read that soy is bad for thyroid problems and also increases risks of breast cancer. again, you read one place it's good for you and somewhere else it's bad then you're just confused. so i'm on the fence about starting the whey protein again but i feel like my muscles are starving for energy. i have a list i've comprised from all these articles i've read and i don't know where to start. then you worry about taking too much for two long. my naturopath friend always told me that there was many herbs and supplements that you could only take for awhile and then need to take a month or so break in between. so anyway, you have noticed a difference in your muscle energy, stiffness, soreness and so forth? would you happen to know your blood type out of curiosity? =) > > > > found this one about bioactive whey protein isolate being good for fibromyagia as well. > > > > http://www.glutathionediseasecure.com/natural-remedy-for-fibromyalgia.html > > > > =) > > > > > > >
Guest guest
Hi , I know, huh? It can be so frustrating. Such conflicting information all the time. I just get a good read on all of the available info and make a decision that I am comfortable with, considering the source. For instance, when it comes to the whey protein isolates, the information I read says that they can easily become denatured. That should be a source of concern. I really don't want anything denatured in my body. Denatured foods are not generally good for us. Dr. Mercola states these problems with the isolates: " Protein isolates are proteins stripped away from their nutritional cofactors. There are three problems with that...All isolates are exposed to acid processing. Your body cannot assimilate proteins in isolated form. Due to over-processing, isolates are deficient in key amino acids and nutritional cofactors. " What is it about the isolates that you need for fibromyalgia? I know that glutathione is important, but there are other ways to get that without using the isolates, isn't there? I wonder if you could try both kinds and see if you feel better on one over another? If you do, please let us know. With Fibromyalgia, I think the thing with exercise is to judge what you CAN do and try not to overdo it, which can set you back quite a bit. Some women absolutely cannot do any exercise, as they are too ill. But eventually many will get to a point where the exercise helps tremendously instead of sending them back to bed. So, you find that point which works well for you. It's a process. My blood type is A+. I avoid soy. I eat meat. My naturopath put me on the " EAting for your Blood type " diet when I first was sick, but right now, I can eat pretty much anything and feel OK. Occasionally I will notice a little bit of brain fog, but I found that it is related to a lack of sleep. I need those 8 hours every night! But when I was first sick, I reacted to many foods, and looking back on it, I am pretty certain it had to do with the sulfation activity going on in my liver. Right now, what I do is epsom salt baths and the coffee enemas as a form of regular detoxing. It's much more simpler than what I used to do, now that I have healed. Earlier in my illness, (10 years ago) I was at a point where my illness consumed my entire life. Fasting was the most effective thing I did for relief of any kind of pain or joint stiffness. I did water only fasting and juice fasting for anywhere from 3 days to 10 days, (water only) and 14 days (juice fasting.) I use the Miracle whey occasionally, and count it as a great source for glutathione, which we don't want to be deficient in! Otherwise, I am a raw milk drinker! I really hope you start to feel better ! It's a process to find out what works for you. But fibromyalgia can be beaten...some of the girls here have done it, and I know healing can happen!
