I did not see anything regarding PA on the site tho. Just thought I'd pass this along!

Guest guest
because it's mainly for hyper's----ususually hypos need iodine not the other way around---it seems those with hashi's or autoimmune problems are told no idoine, but the funny part is I don't hear anyone really being tested for it. Iodine is essential for a healthy thyroid, under or over causes most goiters. The deal is to be tested to see what you really are and need!!!! Those with adrenal problems it seems tend to really NEED salt and iodine big time!!! it's very tricky!!! > Tina, > these vitamins have cabbage, broccoli, etc. I wonder why if they're > promoting it for hypos.... > > > > > ----Original Message Follows---- > From: " tina83862 " <tina8386@a...> > Reply-hypothyroidism > hypothyroidism > Subject: link > Date: Thu, 02 Oct 2003 05:32:14 -0000 > > http://www.thyroid-info.com/articles/iodine.htm > > _________________________________________________________________ > Add MSN 8 Internet Software to your existing Internet access and enjoy > patented spam protection and more. Guest guest
Actually, the reason people are told " no iodine " is that hypothyroidism due to iodine deficiency is almost unheard of in the civilized world. Most hypothyroidism is due to immune system issues or radiation. If you have a goiter that is due to Hashimoto's, then iodine won't help you, you're not deficient, and taking more is dangerous. tina83862 <tina8386@...> wrote:because it's mainly for hyper's----ususually hypos need iodine not the other way around---it seems those with hashi's or autoimmune problems are told no idoine, but the funny part is I don't hear anyone really being tested for it. That really makes sense ! I was wondering if everyone has pain ? DO you all have pain like I do ? Do your doctors help you with this ? My doctor will never let me stay in pain and will prescribe so I don't have to suffer but I know that LOTS of doctors are not so sensitive to it and was wondering how some of your doctors treat it ? Thanks ..K
