Guest guest
Oh Dede, It makes me sad to think of you in a flaming flare! I will pray that Merck will provide some assistance for those drugs that helped you. They should....they have that program, right? Let us know...praying for your relief! Love you! This is the one I use so I can see how clean the tubing and inside of the bucket is. I've used the bags before, and don't like them because I could never see what it looked like inside, and I want to know that my bucket is clean! I use a solution of bleach and antibacterial soap to keep my tubing and bucket clean. > > > > > > Here is the coffee enema recipe. This info is available in our files section under Healing Therapies. Guest guest
Patty, I know you said that the coffe will not absorb affect my system, correct. Coffee makes me sooo much worse when I drink it so I want to be sure but I really want to do the coffee enema, I'm desperate to try everything. I am sure if anyone has concerns that need addressing, a call to the Gerson clinic in San Diego will be productive. Guest guest
, I know that desperation....so I say give it a try and see. I really want it to work for you! Some women have had trouble with nausea (I think Kathy=Mikat, did) I can only go by the answer to the question below, which answers why there is a difference between drinking coffee and taking it by enema. I never had any issues with it, so I can't tell you that you won't....I am not certain in your case. But overall, there is a positive effect in regards to the coffee enema vs taking it by mouth. I'll repost the answer here: " Coffee taken by mouth is a vasoconstrictor causing capillary and bile duct constriction. Drinking coffee is damaging to the stomach due to the aromatic fatty acids (which are not absorbed through the colon since the aromatics are boiled off in the " coffee enema recipe " preparation). Drinking coffee is an artificial stimulant and appetite suppressant as well as creating a more acidic environment in the body which is counter productive to healing. When taking the coffee enema, the caffeine and other components act to relax and open the bile ducts releasing toxins (as much as seven times the normal rate) from the liver. The glutathione-S transferase system is activated as well to enhance the functions of the immune system. Simply put, one is health giving and on is not. Choose the " coffee break " that is cleansing and supportive. Thousands of people have found this to be true. The coffee enema is also an excellent method for pain relief that is caused by toxic build up in the liver and colon. " Let me know if you try it, and how you do. You might want to try modulating your diet also to see if going gluten free, or dairy free might help you. There is a book called " The Lupus Recovery Diet " (NOT that you have lupus, but the autoimmunity is a possibility), and the author explains how a diet consisting entirely of fruits and veggies and cutting out certain foods allowed her to live normally again. It's worth a look. Maybe there is a copy at the library, or you can borrow mine. I think you can safely start doing some therapies designed to help you purge your body of toxins and support it. How do you feel after epsom salt baths? Patty > > > > > > , are you breastfeeding ? Guest guest
I'm afraid to try the coffee enema too. Also because I have such adverse reactions when I drink coffee as well. But I'm sure like they said its so different when it doesn't have to pass thru your entire system. My doc told me to start the epsom salts baths about 2 wks ago so I was excited to read about them on here. Thanks patty. They seem to work great. I don't use water that's too hot so my heart doesn't race and I feel pretty good afterward. I seem to have more days where I feel ok at times but my mom took me bra shopping today and not sure if it was the chemicals in the fabric but after trying on about 6 bras I was done and blochy and could barely walk out of the store I felt so sick. Nevr thought I'd dread shopping! Guest guest
HI Bev! I'm glad to hear you are having positive benefits from the Epsom salt baths. I think they are really great for detoxing...I wish I had focused on them more than I did. I think I would have been rid of my brain fog faster! Bra shopping....wow, what a reaction! It sounds like you just need to take it easy for awhile yet. Don't rush it. Healing will come. Going into stores was usually a nightmare for me for quite awhile. We had moved into a new house about one year after explant and I had to buy things like window coverings and drapes and lamps....just going into Target made me want to keel over within about 5 minutes, so it was depressing as all heck. I don't know how I made it through those days, except for the grace of God. In time you will start to see those good days last and last! Just keep doing good things for yourself and stay positive. There are so many things to be thankful for. YOu will get better. Hugs, Patty > > > > > > > > > , are you breastfeeding ? Guest guest
Thanks patty. I LOVE pep talks like that. :]. Just reading those simple words YOU WILL GET BETTER is inspiring. I try to stay positive but there are just times that I break down and crumble. Then I snap out of my pity party and am humbled. There is lots to be grateful for, you are right. I wish you a healthy happy weekend. Guest guest
Thank Patty, I'll give it a shot, sounds like it should help me a lot! I'll just make sure I have a day after to recover if if feel too sick. I was hoping a few days of rest would help my weakness, but I don't think it's enough. The tightness in my chest isn't as bad but I noticed when I stand up too long or am active at all, I soon need to sit down. I get super weak and have a feeling of faint. My insides feel ripped apart; especially my chest and my body pain is returning as well. I don't think I'll be able to go back to work. I was soo hoping four days off would do it but I think my body is giving up; I'm not giving it enough time to heal. I just hope my husband and family understands. I'm going to tell my father; I need everyone's support wether they believe me or not..I'm sick and I'm not getting beter anytime soon. I do have disability which will cover a 1/3 of my paycheck; better than nothing but I know you need some sort of proof that something is wrong with you. I don't know how I'm going to do that, uhhg!! Well the baby is crying so I better get off. Thank you for all your help! From: glory2glory1401@...Date: Fri, 29 Oct 2010 17:06:10 +0000Subject: Re: Coffee enema instructions and source for bucket ,I know that desperation....so I say give it a try and see. I'll repost the answer here: "Coffee taken by mouth is a vasoconstrictor causing capillary and bileduct constriction. Drinking coffee is damaging to the stomach due tothe aromatic fatty acids (which are not absorbed through the colonsince the aromatics are boiled off in the "coffee enema recipe"preparation). Drinking coffee is an artificial stimulant and appetitesuppressant as well as creating a more acidic environment in the bodywhich is counter productive to healing. When taking the coffee enema, the caffeine and other components act torelax and open the bile ducts releasing toxins (as much as seven timesthe normal rate) from the liver. The glutathione-S transferasesystem is activated as well to enhance the functions of the immunesystem. Simply put, one is health giving and on is not. Choose the "coffeebreak" that is cleansing and supportive. Thousands of people havefound this to be true. The coffee enema is also an excellent methodfor pain relief that is caused by toxic build up in the liver andcolon."Let me know if you try it, and how you do. You might want to try modulating your diet also to see if going gluten free, or dairy free might help you. There is a book called "The Lupus Recovery Diet" (NOT that you have lupus, but the autoimmunity is a possibility), and the author explains how a diet consisting entirely of fruits and veggies and cutting out certain foods allowed her to live normally again. It's worth a look. Maybe there is a copy at the library, or you can borrow mine. I think you can safely start doing some therapies designed to help you purge your body of toxins and support it.How do you feel after epsom salt baths?Patty> >> > > > , are you breastfeeding ? Guest guest
, I'm concerned about you.... If you feel really bad, call your doctor and let them make sure there is nothing going on such as any sort of infection, which will need attention. The weakness and feeling faint upon standing can be a sign of adrenal weakness and even adrenal exhaustion, which makes sense because you are under so much stress. The adrenal glands are the ones that take the beating when we are under stress, and that is you right now. There are things you can do for adrenal support. I believe I have a file and/or links in the files and links section on adrenal issues. For support, you #1 have to absolutely rest and take good care of yourself!!! Meditation, relaxation techniques, yoga, prayer, all of those are necessary. Then, of course, there are the supplements for the adrenal gland, of which Vitamin C is absolutely vital. If you are not taking a vit C supplement now, please take one, or somehow make sure you are getting lots of vit C in your diet. There is also an adrenal supplement called Isocort that can be purchased online. I'm certain we have the link in our links section, or just do an internet search for Isocort. My naturopath put me on Isocort early in my recovery as well. You can take up to 8 pills a day, in divided doses, which mimic your natural cortisol production (higher in the morning, lower in the evening), and this will help to allow your adrenal glands to heal by providing the support they need. I just believe you have to take time off to get better . Working is just too much stress unless you can find a position that does not require so much of your energy, such as a desk job. Even that may be too much for you....please let your doctor (I forgot...who are you seeing?) help you through this time! I'm here if you need me....but I think it is important that your let your parents be parents as well, and let them know you need them right now. I know that if my kids needed anything, I would be there for them, no questions asked. I'm sure that your parents have that desire to help you if you reach out to them. Sending hugs, Patty > > > > > > > > > , are you breastfeeding ? Guest guest
Thank you sooo much! My hubby just asked me if I wanted him to pick me up some lunch, I told him I'd prefer some Isocrt instead. He went for it! I think he's beginning to get on board. We were supposed to go to a football game in AZ in couple of weeks. I was so hoping I would be well enough to go. I told him he should take his brother and hopefully he's fine with that too. There's no reason why he shouldn't have any fun and this way I can just sit in my pajamas all weekend and be a slob. I need that!! I also sent my boss a looong e-mail. It's easier that way. It's too crazy at work! We'll see what she says. I do notice the more I rest, the better I seem to be. I'm not great by any means but I haven't done anything at all today besides feed and change my baby and the last time I walked up the stairs I was ok. Infection? How would they know? They would just put me on antibiotics like they always did in the past. I was on antibiotics for 2 weeks for the explant and that ended only 5 weeks ago. Antibiotics did always make me feel better for a little while anyway. I read over the adrenal diet! Thank you! You are being such a big help and it's soo nice that I can talk to someone about this. It says to eat meat. It's funny though..one week..I read not to eat meat and supplement with alternative protein and then the next week..I read..eat meat. Hahah, what a roller coaster!! Thank you Patty and I hope you're having a wonderful weekend!! This is the one I use so I can see how clean the tubing and inside of the bucket is. Guest guest
Bev, I will have to send more pep talks for you then! I know what it feels like to be discouraged, so I empathize with you in this time in your life. It's such a dark and difficult journey to walk out of the maze of implant hell. But you will, you are, you are going to get better! It will take time....my BIGGEST and most important suggestion to any woman trying to get better is to BE PATIENT. It is a matter of letting the body heal because it didn't get sick overnight and it won't heal overnight. My next most important suggestion and urging is for staying positive, being hopeful and optimistic...it is vital! If you lose heart and lose hope, it saps energy faster than anything I know. We all have our moments, but the key is knowing how to react when those dark times come. Have your thoughts and words to think about prepared ahead of time. Keep a stack of positive 3 x 5 cards with Scriptures, favorite quotes, words of affirmation, and hope handy. Repeat them to yourself as necessary. Let them sink into the deep soil of your heart to take root. Visual images of healing can even promote healing! See yourself whole and healed. Our minds can do so much....it's pretty amazing. You know, you are amazing! We are all pretty amazing women! Sending hugs, Patty > > > > > > > > > > > > , are you breastfeeding ?
